Glad to see, between Nussmeier and the Pietruszewski transfer, a couple of relatively good sized LB's head to Collegeville.  Not that Carter Hanson didn't get the job done.

I think Carter proved that size is not as relevant at the D3 level, it really comes down to a players strength, speed and mental edge. Carter didn't possess very much of the first two but was very football smart and had a great nose for the ball, size is overrated at the D3 level for LB's, Mary Hardin Baylor's linebackers were also undersized.

What?  The nephew thinks the dog is a Johnnie? ;D

Fortunately, the toxicity of chocolate for dogs is generally exaggerated.  Even a fairly small amount for even large dogs MAY bring on stomach upset, vomiting, and diarrhea.  But generally the lethal dosage of chocolate (even for small dogs) is MUCH more than they are likely to 'steal'.  As a dog lover, I'm comforted by that!  (And, yes, our blue-tick coon hound, Shelby, has 'stolen' chocolate several times, with no adverse effects.)

My wife loaded the candy dish on the dining room table w/ Hershey kisses before she left this morning.  Why she did that before going to work I don't have a clue.  Of course the dog could smell them so he pulled on the table runner until the dish fell on the floor.   He probably ate about half a bag...20 pound Cockapoo.  He seems to be doing ok...no vomit, diarrhea, shakes or tremors.

To be on the safe side, looks like you have to ditch either the wife or the dog.  Your pick. ;D

Which one is utterly happy beyond belief to have me come home and openly begs to rub him/her all over????

Unless you've got the greatest wife in the world, sounds like you've chosen the dog. :o ;D

Milk chocolate is better than dark chocolate.  Theobromine is the culprit, and it is less concentrated in milk chocolate.  I'm impressed that he ate half a bag without some gastrointestinal issues, though!

Our previous dog (a great Dane) was known for stealing entire sticks of butter, and that never caused issues, surprisingly!

It may have already been mentioned on this board, but UWW is also playing Concordia-Moorhead, on the road on Sept. 9.

It appears that Platteville still has an open date for 9/9/17, as do the Johnnies. That would be a quality in region non-conference game for both. Let's hope it happens. No more Little Sisters of the Poor for non-conference opponents for SJU!
As of now they're on DOUBLE SECRET Probation!
