Tom Thumb-
Do you have any info on Ryder Beckman the RB from Monticello? Will he play in college? Saw him play and thought he would be perfect at SJU or UST. Maybe D2.

Sam Gibas the RB from Elk River is the other one and I am curious. Saw him play too and I heard he might wrestle and pass on playing football in college.

OldAuggie,

Ryder committed to Bemidji State. I got nothing on Gibas.

After a year he'll transfer to SJU after things don't work out at BSU.   ;)

And then he will get stuck in a lease and decide to transfer to UST  :D

I'll give you some vitamin K for that, TT!  :D

Thanks TT. I should have googled his twitter I guess. I am confused because he is not blessed or excited about his commitment.

I hope they move him to WR. I know he loves to hunt and fish so my guess, if he decides to transfer, is SJU.

Back when Ryan Wimmer was playing at SJU, on home games,he would get done playing & then head directly into the woods with his bow and sit in his stand waiting for his deer, loving his time communing with nature. It is a really unique situation, perfect for outdoorsmen.
As of now they're on DOUBLE SECRET Probation!

Hey SJU, get a rematch!!  I'd pay to see this one (okay, I already am paying no matter who they get, but, whatever!!)

Yeah, I get a lot of my info from social media, but I also have access to NorthStar Football News.  I got that info from NorthStar. They have a list of the top recruits instate and where they are heading for college.

I'm assuming UST hired a new OC since the position is no longer available:

https://careers.insidehighered.com/job/1310072/assistant-football-coach-offensive-coordinator/

Anyone know who they hired?

Hmmmm, Lepsche resigned as head coach of Wheaton St Francis high school in Chicago area a couple weeks ago.  Coached UST O line for quite a while before that.  Getting the band back together?

Will be interesting to see how Caruso handles this hire and what the OC position really is.  Up through '13, Caruso called everything himself.  Killian came on in '14 and gave input, but I recall Caruso still calling most (all?) the plays.

Killian took over everything for '15 and '16; Caruso certainly comfortable with him doing so.  Now with his hire, is it back to pre-Killian days?  Or does the new OC get to jump right in and take over?

There is nobody on the planet (outside of Caruso) that knows that offense better than Lepsche. He'd be a great OC.

There were giant strides taken with QB development and play-calling with Killian. That is part of the reason I thought he was a very good hire for St Olaf. Lepsche would be an outstanding replacement and a solid playcaller. A lot of the blocking schemes were created by Lepsche. If they are moving back to MN that would be outstanding.

It would be fun to be the play caller with Roberts, Parks, Trettel, and Jaques Perra. Now, if they could just find a Pierre Garcon type talent at WR I would be happy.  ;D

Who do we have back at WR? I'm drawing a blank as to what our depth chart should look like there.

I think Pellini will emerge as a solid WR this next year (his soph).  With a three headed monster at RB, I could see Parks moved to a WR or slot.  Should be set/solid at TE as well.

The QB's loved Killian for sure.

I really enjoyed watching Pallini and coach speaks highly of him. Looking at the roster, this years contributors included Tanner Vik and Luke Iverson who will be back. Not much beyond that. Thomas O'Neil converted from backup QB and had a couple receptions early in the year, but he's not listed on the roster anymore.

A few TEs will be back, notably the Jacksons Hull and Finn.
