Yesterday I spent moving my son to his University on "Freshman Move In Day." As we crept along in the parade of vehicles with all the other move in people we passed about a dozen major parties going on in various front yards. This was at 9:30 in the morning. Each party had alot of people with signs like "I'll be her daddy now" and "Honk if you're horny" and a lot worse. Apparently this freshman move in day party fest is a tradition of sorts.

As we go to the edge of campus there was a small non-drinking group in front of the Newman Center. They had signs too, one which read "Honk and I'll pray for you!"  :)

Yeah, that one would get a rise from me.  It would bring out my inner Charles Bronson.

It's not just the fraternities that do that sort of thing. I've seen some raunchy ones online from sororities, too. Barstool Sports tweets out a bunch of them around this time of year

After some thought and analysis, my early feedback is that SJU offense will need to pass for 400+ yards against the Tommies just to stay in the game on September 23rd.  It is obvious that UST will run at will against the jonnies this year as the jonnie defense has been decimated due to graduation (with no replacements) and so there will be no stopping Roberts and company.

My opinion is that the jonnies are in must win situation this year. Why?  Because the graduation of this senior class will further deplete their talent base and there will be no proof that the super Junior class will be able to defeat that UST team next year.  Coupled with the fact that SJU has had two very weak recruiting classes in the last two years, suggests that Bethel, Concordia and Gustavus will over take the Jonnies in the next two years.

Finally, I will make the suggestion that this incoming UST Freshman class is the most talented to date.  Eastview. Blaine. STA. Lakeville North. Wayzata. Eden Prairie. Cretin-Derham Hall. Edina. Elk River. Rochester. MINNESOTA STRONG!!!!

Finally, should I even suggest that the incoming UST Freshman class is the most talented to date?  I should probably make that proclamation - that is a lot of incoming talent.

This is comical....

If you are a grad of St. Olaf, I offer my congratulations to you - academically that is the most difficult school in the Midwest.

I drank it all Duffman  ;D ;D ;D But I will stick by prediction and see how it plays out on the 23rd and next season.  Those were some great mainstays you lost on defense- but as they say "everybody is replaceable."

Well I guess with this theory UST will also get passed up by Bethel, Concordia and Gustavus due to the fact they too lost a lot of big time players on defense.

I thought all of U$T's talent came from Wisconsin and the Chicago area.  Now, you're telling us that MN is the place to recruit???
