The UWW folks seem a little nervous (rightly, given last week) about the game against CON.  I'll be paying attention to that one with interest.  I wonder how the Cobbers will go.

**CLOSED CIRCUIT TO CHICAGO TOMMIE**

Are you coming to the game tomorrow? If so, we gotta party dude!

First of all, if the Seminarians are there we will hang out with them and their cardboard saws and plastic hammers.

Thence, it's up to the radio booth where we will take over the Good Neighbor! 100,000 watts of clear channel BDB and Chicago Tommie!!!

We'll even mix in a cremation society ad or hearing aid promo if they want us to!

We be just like Dave Mona (me) and Sid Hartman (you) at the fair!!

Then we'll get arrested for sure. I've got buddies in the area that'll bail me out. You've got that wad of cash in your pocket that bails you out in Chicago every day!

So let's go! Are you gonna be here?! Send me a PM!

With Kindest Regards,

The Cobbers will be up 6 with 2 seconds left and find a way to lose. You heard it here first.

You guys should go Facebook live at the game and then take over the broadcast. Of course, I don't know how to do that but I see Ted Nugent go live so I would expect something similar from you guys.

Wow... That's a sad but very likely prediction.

I went over to have a look at Presentation and found some interesting tidbits on their football website.  Their coach, Chuck Miesbauer, is in  his first year of head coaching having replaced the retired long-term Presentation head coach.  But more interestingly he's a successful footballer from Minnesota:

A native of St. Paul, MN, Miesbauer attended perennial prep football powerhouse, Cretin Durham Hall, before playing collegiately at NCAA DII Concordia University-St. Paul. A four-year starter at safety for the Golden Bears, Miesbauer earned several honors and served as team captain. An All-Northern Sun selection on the field and an NSIC all-academic performer in the classroom, he earned a bachelor's degree in kinesiology and psychology from Concordia in 2007 and went on to earn his Master's degree from U-Mary in 2012.
Before coaching collegiately, Miesbauer joined the Cretin Durham Hall football coaching staff in 2008 and helped the team win the 2009 state title.

Some folks posting here might know him.

He's only in his second year at Presentation.  His first year, as DC, was quite impressive.  He appears to have some quality coaching skills:

During his first season with the Saints and as the defensive coordinator, the Saints defense saw a great deal of success during the 2016 season. Some of the team's defensive accolades of the record-setting 7-3 season include:
2nd in NAIA – Turnovers Forced (34)
2nd in NAIA – Opponent Pass Efficient (88.1)
4th in NAIA - Passing Yds Allowed/Game (136.8)
6th in NAIA – Yards Allowed/Game (276.1)
7th in NAIA – Opponent 4th Down Conversion (26.9%)
10th in NAIA – Opponent 3rd Down Conversion (30.7%)
Furthermore, Miesbauer coached AFCA Coaches' All-American 1st Team defensive end, Jeff Branch, who was the first Saint in program history to earn this prestigious honor.

We may have a surprisingly interesting game on our hands this weekend.

EDIT: Actually, something is strange in South Dakota.  The whole coaching staff is brand new.

For what it's worth, in the Massey Ratings, Presentation was equivalent to Geneva and Averett in Division III last year.

I may miss the game tomorrow as we're having some friends and family over tonight for a nice dinner to celebrate #1's 18th and my 50th.

On Friday I was working from home and the wife returned from a long shopping trip when she came inside and asked for some help at the car.  "Ok.  Sigh.  I'm trying to work here."  And I walk out to the car to see my parents.  A sneak, one-week trip for the birthday celebrations.  Pretty good.

Yeah, it was.  The better half did really well. And every one was so tired that they all went home and it's only midnight.  Four hours of sleep and I'm back here for more.

Go Stout.
