I haven't lived in MN in quite some time. The weather report says there will be rain, with temperatures hovering in the upper seventies during the game. No umbrellas are allowed. Do you think it would be comfortable to sit through the game wearing a Barbour jacket and baseball cap? I'm thinking about leaving my Tommie blazer at home.

May I recommend you take an Uber over to the Galleria Edina before the game and pick up a snap on hood for your Barbour?

Rolex? Far too pedestrian. I'm more of a Vacheron/Patek sort of guy. On the Barbour hood, thanks for the heads up. Maybe I'll have one delivered to the Twins front office and Jim Pohlad can run it down to me before kickoff.

I just took a look at the UST roster. Out of 12 coaches, only one went to UST. On the other hand, 50% were drawn from an out-of-state coaching position. A whopping 83% have substantial DI/DII coaching or playing experience. So here's the question: Does all this out-of-state, DI/DII experience affect UST's coaching/recruiting style?

I just took a look at Mount Union's coaching staff (OK, really just the first 12 coaches), and 11 of the 12 are Mount Union grads.  Seems to be working alright for them. 

Obviously. It's interesting, though, that UST has so many DI/II coaches. Is this common in DIII?

Why did these coaches take the step down?  Interesting...

So it looks like they're painting the UST logo on the 50-yard line. Is that because it's technically a UST home game?

Left field, second tier will be the best seats in the house it looks like.  Right up in the action.  Midfield will be pretty far away.  And I think the stands fall away quite dramatically behind home plate.  But front row in the second tier of left field will practically be hanging over the field of play.  That will be quite a view.

And yes, the back of the endzone catches will be limited in left field.  I imagine it's the same behind home plate or they would put a little space between the end line and the fence.

But still, it looks pretty frickin' glorious.  For a DIII game at that.

EDIT II:  When I embiggened that picture I noticed that one of the bottom tier left field seats was partly folded up.   And there is plenty of space behind the end zone at the home plate end.  I think they are folding up the bottom tier so there is some space there for the players.  The left field second tier seats will really be a treat.  Nothing beneath that front row seat but playing surface.

EDIT III:  And Minneapolis is looking really good in that picture.  A beautiful stadium.  And I can see the IDS building still stands out.  I can't see the Foshay Tower.  When I was a little tike we lived in Mpls and I loved the observation deck up there.  I have memories of throwing a penny off, but I think it was really just my dad daring me to do it and my mom reacting in horror at the thought.  It's morphed into a memory of it happening.

The A-Z FAQ on everything anyone going to the game may need to know:

"Bus Transportation
Saint Benedict, Saint John's and St. Thomas students with current student identification and a ticket
will be able to bus from St. Thomas to Target Field and return after the game. Sober CSB/SJU and
UST students may present their student id to get on the bus. The first bus leaves at 10:45 a.m. and the
last bus departs St. Thomas at 12:30 p.m. to get to Target Field. Buses will depart Target Field after the
game. Bus drop off and pick up at Target Field is on 7th Street by Gate 14."

So I just read that they've sold nearly 35K tickets for this game. Target Field has a capacity of 39.5K. With game day sales, including additional student tickets, this could be a sellout.
