The classy Johnnies will find fault with Caruso no matter what he says or does. That's the nature of the Johnnie smokefest. That being said, Caruso seems to have some kind things to say about this year's SJU team.

I don't find fault with it at all. It's exactly what a coach should say when his team is 2-1 and playing what is essentially a must win game. Caruso needs to convince his players that this SJU team is really the sh-t!  And I'm sure the coaches don't talk to the team about playoff ramifications, but I'd bet the coaches have discussions. 2-2 is not a record that a team wants to have...especially with the Cobbers rolling into town in a couple weeks. As much as I enjoyed the U$T loss to Stout it wasn't really a good thing for SJU. U$T needs and will be dialed into this game.

I had heard that the Twins were not going to allow either team a practice or walk through at the field prior to Saturday, however I noticed on the Twitter that U$T had one today. I understand that even though this is a "neutral" site this a home game for the Tom$, and that they along w/ the Twins are the parties responsible for the game being played at Bullseye Field. Considering the venue and the number of the variables involved with this game it would make sense that the guest would be afforded an opportunity to the field prior to Saturday. The only thing that makes any sense would be if the Johnnies came down Friday and stayed overnight. Anybody have any insights?

Do teams generally get a walkthrough on the opponent's field in MIAC games? Not being snarky -- truly asking.

Mr.MIAC

So what's the security screening procedure like at Target Field. I assume they check bags. Do they use metal detectors and/or pat-down people?

You sound nervous...

Mr.MIAC

I'm asking for those who might want to bring in some libations.

That would be a bad idea. Bag check & pat down at the discretion of the security person. Call it profiling or whatever you want to call it but I'd advise against trying to bring anything in, especially if you look to be under 25 yrs.old. If you have an infant, you can bring in baby formula and water in a clear plastic bottle but that is about all you can bring in.

I'm killing time before the Adelaide v Geelong Preliminary Final by watching a little of Temple v South Florida on ESPN.  It's not much fun watching a crap game between teams you don't care about at all.

What are you doing awake?  Isn't it 4am for you?  That's my shift on Sunday morning.

Expanded answer- they sell booze where you are sitting in the Delta 360 Legends Club. If they are treating the concessions like a Twins game, you can get cocktails where you are sitting and they'll bring them to you.

No but I don't believe this game is being played on an opponents field. I also don't recall too many MIAC games being played at Target field.
It's quite possible a walkthrough was offered a but didn't make sense logistically.
