Thanks, Pat. Generally just curious if the Skip Bayless & Shannon Sharpes of the board use a real email or not.

Will Josh Parks be playing this Saturday?

Depends on if he can get out of his lease.

I think we found our resident Skip Bayless. Always fun to use the non scholarship college kids to make a funny

In that case might be time to shut the board down. I hope his campus job is going well.

Doubling down on the johnnie class I guess. Nothing like going after the college kid and his apartment rentals and work study programs. I thought we weren't crazy DI fans...I though this wasn't an ESPN board. I guess I thought wrong.

It's a bad look for the 30 - 40 something year old rival fan to go for the cheap shots on a rival's student athlete. But, if that's who you are then I guess your Bayless assumption was right, you don't need to go far to find it though, it's right in the mirror. I don't think this is what Gagliardi had in mind in building a legacy program with class

There's plenty of Skip Bayless-level stupid takes from both sides of this rivalry. I have no qualms saying that some of the Tommies that post here say some dumb stuff, and I'm sure some believe I do too. However, the Johnnie echo-chamber mostly just serves to embolden the illogical, irrational, crazy takes. Do a quick search for any number of things that have been said about Caruso for a healthy dose of insanity. Some might even suggest that the Johnnies have given their Skip Bayless impersonator a Voice on the official broadcast.

Did the Tommies win their Super Bowl or something recently?  There sure is a whole lot of struttin' going on around here.

Be careful carrying all that water. Wouldn't want you to spill it. I guess when this stuff pops up so often you have plenty of practice carrying it so spilling probably isn't a concern.

Objectively speaking, taking UST and Caruso out of the equation, and replace them with SJU. You're down 3, you have one time out and the other team has the ball and is in the victory formation. If they fumble the snap and you recover, you have the ball at midfield and one timeout. What do you do?

Technically we didn't have a time out.

I'm pretty sure I've never said any dumb stuff on this board. I try to stick to rigorous analysis of the game and not set sidetracked with banter. :) Speaking of VOJ, has Skip Bayless ever called a group of college athletes part of an evil empire that everyone hates? I don't think so. I'm looking forward to the Augsburg and Concordia games. In the meantime, let's hope the Johnnies can figure things out. The rivalry is more fun when they're competitive.

You are right. We should calm down and be silent, like we were for the 70 years from WWII until Caruso started, while St John's was racking up National Championships and Johnnie-Tommie game victories. Let's keep the focus on the past and ignore the past 3 years or so, please.

You're right! Today is Sunday, don't be wasting my time talking about Saturday! That is soooo yesterday and the past doesn't matter. ::)

Doesn't look like classic Roberts to me either, but he's not running with the same offensive line that he was in 2015, either.
True. I guess I don't know enough about X's and O's to dissect the differences in line and how that would impact Trettel and Roberts differently with their running styles

Roberts was fantastic in '15 no doubt.  But that offensive line was outstanding.   We knew they were very good then, but as the last two years have played out, I think they were even better then they were given credit.

Personally, I think playing the game early in the season the past three years has benefitted UST. We've all touched on it the past few weeks, but I think if SJU wants to be a little more prepared for this game they need to strengthen their non-conference schedule. This was the first time they had to make real in-game adjustments. Not a good thing one month into the season for both the SJU players and coaches. It's hard to know what areas you need to improve on when you haven't been tested.

This is what I'm struggling with.  Sure, you walk into the game 3-0, but what have you really learned about your team?  When everything you do works and works well, you get stagnant.  SJU averaged 339 ypg rushing prior to Saturday, and they rushed for ONE yard versus the Tommies.  U$T is obviously on another level, but it was disappointing to see the lack of adjustment from the Johnnie offense.

Sidenote:  St. Scholastica is 3-0 in the UMAC and outscoring opponents 132-48.  How terrible is the UMAC?  ::)
