Hamline with -1 yards rushing and 5 first downs for the game. Where have we seen thise type of stats before? I guess I wouldn't gage this game as to where the Tommies stack against the best in the nation.  Unfortunately Herzog was hurt for the Tom vs. Con game and would have provided us with our only test this year in the MIAC.

Probably a good idea then to onside kick in the 2nd qtr up 50-0 then?  ???
I was only listening on the radio but I gather that it wasn't an onside kick. It was a line drive kick that a Hamline player tried to field and it bounced off of him. But don't let facts get in the way of a good narrative please.

Then why did the TommieMedia tweet that it was an onside kick???#alternativefacts?

Because the kids on Tommie Media know absolutely nothing about football.
but their web page says they're award winning? http://www.tommiemedia.com/who-we-are/ #fakenews? I thought u$t had higher standards? ;D

How do you know you're successful? Opponents start following your media outlets. I think you cite Tommiemedia more than anyone else on this board.

Hey Rev, answer an age old question for me. Do A$$holes know they're A$$holes? "Well, do ya punk?"

Today's game by the Johnnies was heartening. The Gusties blitzed and stunted with abandon but the Johnnie line did well to give Erdman lots of time. And Erdman passed away. It was really nice to see the Johnnie passing attack going full tilt. Swing passes, downfield passes, screens. It had it all.  Hopefully this is a good sign that the offense is loosening up and expanding its playbook.

The defense was uncharacteristicly leaky. A number of GAC receivers were given space about 15 yards down field and in the middle. A bad day?  Trying some new things?  We'll see soon enough, I guess.

All in all, a well played game that bodes well for the rest of the year.

1. I don't follow TommieMedia...someone I follow on twitter shared it. Also I don't ever recall citing #FakeNewsTommieMedia but whatever.

2. Watch the kick here 2:01:55 ish...It wasn't really an onside kick but I seriously doubt it was a accidental bad kick...I don't know..I guess up 50 to rip the sportsmanlike thing to do would be to kick it deep and let he Pipers run 3 plays then punt..but what the hell do I know.

My how far the mighty Johns have fallen. I guess we have a double Johnee outrage:
1) Supposed Onside Kick Gate
2) Tommiemedia Gate

O-line still being mixed & matched trying to find the right combination. Hopefully the Cobber game they will have it figured out.
A starting CB still out, hopefully with the bye week he'll be ready to play.
I like the 1st half offense better than the 2nd half  :-\
As of now they're on DOUBLE SECRET Probation!

He did not participate against the Knights. Do not know if he dressed.
