Nice article.  What doesn't kill you makes you stronger and the Scholastica boys have hung tough, which is good to see.  Ironically, they could make the playoffs and the Johnnies miss out if we get tipped over by CON or someone else before season's end.

Small world department:
Last night was 1st night of the new season of my old man hoops league in northern Manhattan. We had a new guy join us. Really nice guy, good player. We get talking and he asks where I'm from and I say southern Minnesota. He says, "My wife's from Eden Prairie." Wow. Nice. Then, later, he asks where I went to school and I say a community college and then "this place called St. John's in central Minnesota." "My father-in-law went there! Great football team; he bought me a book about the coach." "Sweet Season?" "Yeah!"

And his wife, it turns out, is a...Gustie!

Weirdly we now have three MIAC connections in the league. The commish of it, my best friend in the league, when I first met him a decade ago, we got talking and it turns out his wife is a...Bennie! Thought not THE Bennie of d3football fame.

Yeah, Hamline seems a likely candidate to do that... ;)

I love that Reusse gives D3 regular attention.  Wonder if there will be someone to pass that torch to when he hangs it up.

Rachel Blount has written some nice stories about Northwestern.

I'd also give credit to Linnemann for making all of his twin cities media friends aware of his hatred for Bethel and St. Thomas.

bennie,
Have you found a new hero in Kevin Bieksa?
Eh...pretty typical Bieksa. Throws one punch and hurts himself. I have long joked that he is a delicate flower.  ::)

Who is Linnemann?  Sounds like a great name for a lineman working for Xcel Energy.

The previous post shows how short a time the "Purple Reign" has been.

Now, if he would have asked "who is Greg Morse?" that would be understandable..... ::)
As of now they're on DOUBLE SECRET Probation!

Let me help! Linnemann is our Gould. Until you have a Keating, please take a seat. 8-)

Thanks. Rat looks great. Good to see he can still stir up trouble like the old days  :)

This is proof positive as to how self absorbed you Johnnies are.  How dare you not know this Linnemann!!!!!  I would venture to guess that this Linnemann clown was just another loud mouth Johnnie.
