I'm glad I was out of the office today and didn't have to endure 97% of those posts. ::)

A tradition unrivaled...

Has Clark been getting any defensive reps the last few weeks? He played CB for a bit (at least) during the season if I recall.

I can think of plenty of things that need to be endured. National service needs to be endured. Nothing on this board poses much of an obstacle. Well, I guess that's true for those who aren't snowflakes...

Team capsules/reviews for each of the 32 playoff teams are up on the d3football.com site. They're not giving St John's a vote of confidence stating, "The first game is a toss-up, but if advancing, it won't be for long." OUCH! Hope the Johnnies are well prepared & prove all of the doubters wrong! Would be nice to get past the second round of the playoffs!
I completely agree. I don't think anyone would be really surprised if SJU were to come out of the UWO region. By the same token, I'm not sure anyone would really be surprised if they get bounced by North Central on Saturday.

Nasty talk for choirboys.
When you meet me, please don't sucker punch me with that Tom National Championship ring on.

You were on the sideline taking photos of the massacre that ensued in 2015. Remind again what th score was? And the time before that too? And H2H?

I realize why you relate to the John brethren so well. You both have taken your lumps lately.

The phrase "arrogant jealousy" comes to mind.

This is the sort of reinforcement a guy likes to see.  The kind that tells him what he wants to hear!

The updated Hansen Ratings are out for this weekend (https://www.hansenratings.com/game-predictions) and they rate the Jays a very slight edge, predicting a Johnnie win of 28-27.  It also rates this game as the likely most exciting of the weekend with a near perfect game score.

Can't wait.

Here's an open invite. We do a somewhat regular happy hour in DC that's open to MIAC folks. It's mostly Tommies, but we have compatriots from Macalester, Carleton, Gustavus, and Hamline that join. With the playoffs upon us, all are welcome. Just send me a PM for details.

I was of the understanding that the Johnnies and Linfield had formed a tight and exclusive relationship.  And then we find out that the Johnnies are flirting back and forth with Mount Union?

1)  Do the Wildcats know about this?
2)  Is this some sort of pre-playoff fling?
3)  Does this have the making of a three-way?
4)  Is this what they call "slummin it?"

If the Wildcats don't know about this, well then, Hell have no fury like a Wildcat scorned.
I would have to say it has something to do with actually getting out & meeting people. Many of the Johnnies on this board have taken road trips to places like Alliance,Ohio & McMinnville, Oregon and tailgated with the Wildcat & Purple Raider fans. It's human nature to want friends and aquanintences to to well over people you either don't know or who you've had negative interaction with. Nothing more and nothing less than that. It's interpersonal relationships 101.
As of now they're on DOUBLE SECRET Probation!

I'm willing to bet that few people have had "negative interactions" with Tommies. I get it. It's fun to rail against one of the big athletic programs in DIII. It's competitive envy 101.

I don't think Mount is very envious.
The weather may play a big role in the SJU game-supposed to be rainy, 38 and falling temps and 25 mile an hour winds. Except for the rain, like the Dayton games of the late 80's and early 90's.

Keep living your best life D.O.C. You earned those rings in 02 & 03

Put down the "angry Kool-aid" for a minute and remind me what rings Linfield won in 2002 and 2003.  2002 was my senior year.  We knocked Linfield out of contention, and MUC won the title.  2003 was all SJU.

You come across as so pleasant online, but I don't think there is enough beer in DC too make you tolerable in person.
