Back to SJU for Kurt!  :-*
Kurt's first stop at SJU was 2002 as QB coach. I don't see him taking anything less than a HC job in D3. A quality QB coach is something SJU lacks. The development of QBs is something on the college level that can make a huge difference, case in point The Minnesota Gophers..... :P
As of now they're on DOUBLE SECRET Probation!

Totally agree, but can they or would they afford him as a QB coach at this point in his career. FTE's are probably the biggest and most consistent draw from an annual budget. I could see him as a QB coach/OC at a D1 program. I could also see him there (SJ2) for a season or two between jobs. I know you guys are very good at taking care of your own.

The draw of the Pine Curtain is strong.  OK, just wild speculation, but what if...

I understand. There isn't a Johnnie that I know that's not loyal as well as lured to the Pine Curtain. Does Kurt coach another sport? or maybe they could find him a full-time gig on campus, like say Institutional Advancement? I think he would be great at that!

When you have a chance to bring back the coordinator who led one of the least-productive offenses in 30 years at SJU in his one season as coordinator, ya gotta do it...

Kurt also resigned from Carleton in January. Seems like odd timing in both cases.

I don't think it's that unusual in Division III if you have another job you're going to. This is when a lot of the hiring starts to take place.

Except when exiting Carleton, he didn't go to another job but on a Vision Quest sleeping on sofas in coaches offices from coast to coast across all divisions of college football. I think he should have written a book. Perhaps he is writing a book now.
I'll check on the UMAC board and report back.....
As of now they're on DOUBLE SECRET Probation!

Nope, nothing new on the UMAC Board since Halloween. Do they even know who Kurt is? Do they even know that D3Fooball.com exists? If someone cut down a tree on the UMAC board would anyone hear it fall?

UST Commits From Cretin-Derham Hall:

Anthony Czech, 5-9, 170, SS/RB, Captain, Academic All-State

Charlie Phythian, 6-7, 260, OL/DL, Scholarship Offers From: N. Michigan and U of San Diego

Do you think it will really matters? Now you can beat someone 150-0 and still get your butt kicked in the playoffs! ;D

University of San Diego is a non-scholarship FCS school.

Yeah, you're right. I should have  caught that. I know  the parents. I will find out the story. Maybe I have the school wrong. Stay tuned.

According to Northstar football rankings, Phythian is the 6th ranked defensive lineman in Minnesota. He's ranked 55th overall. Most of the guys in his range are either receiving PWOs for D1 schools or offers to play FCS or D2. Solid recruit.
