I'll wait for an announcement from the school before I believe anything or state my opinion.

Ha!  My money says that nothing formal will be announced.

Well, when someone new is standing in pre-season with headphones on and calling plays then.

If my wife only knew it was this easy to keep my mouth shut.

You’ve pretty much defined what a rumour is. :). I’ll wait for an announcement from the school before I believe anything or state my opinion.  Publicly, anyways.

And on citizenship, it took me a long time to decide to do it. 24 years. Divided loyalties are not my thing.  But some personal considerations on the rights of my family and wealth (such as it is :( ) protection finally persuaded me.
Are you now allowed to drink Lord Nelson Three Sheets and Victoria Bitter? :)

Drink it?  I've been given the formulas.

Citizenship here is like the Masons.  A secret handshake and everything.

The LB Perkins looks like he could be a "Jesse Addo" type player. We all know how good Addo was. Also, whoever is recruiting the Menomonie area for UST is doing a bang-up job!

the return of AirJohnnie with a couple WRs calling the shots.
Anything less than a point a minute will be a letdown.....
Throw in a couple of behind the back toss options for 2 pt. conversions, now you're talkin'  8-)
As of now they're on DOUBLE SECRET Probation!

Against Carleton maybe...if MAC ever has the cajones to play football in their conference again maybe we could pull off a couple dumb $hit plays like that.

Nothing on the Johnnie website about OC changes. So this is rumour, right?  Well if it turns out to be accurate then I guess we will be seeing the return of AirJohnnie with a couple WRs calling the shots.  I could stand watching some of that.

(And thanks BDB and MUC57)
WR's calling the shots at SJU? Perfect!
My prediction of Ramler to Augsburg is still Alive!

I think Coach Yuen recruits western Wisconsin and the Green Bay area. He has been doing a good job so far.

BDB

Maybe St. Thomas needs to come over to Menomonie more often and lose a game. Seems to be good for recruiting.  ;)

Seriously though, I had 2 of the 3 players heading to UST in youth baseball and they were good kids then. MHS has a powerhouse high school football program for the last 25 years or so and has placed numerous young men in the college ranks including the current starting QB for Iowa.

BDB, Thanks for the input on those kids and the Menomonie program in general. I was going to ask you about those kids. Think if UST had won the Stout game they might have the whole team coming over to Minny ;D

Both these kids look pretty good. The CB/WR from Brookfield is really athletic for a 6-2 kid. He could play either side of the ball. The Waconia kid is athletic as well but might be a bit undersized, kind of a "tweener". Hopefully he has a big heart and a strong work ethic.

Heckendorf is actually not a Johnnie.

QuoteKole Heckendorf
Heckendorf is in his fifth season as an offensive assistant in 2017. In 2002, Heckendorf set a pair of Wisconsin records with 116 receptions for 1,714 yards as a junior at Mosinee High School and ended his career as the state's all-time leader in receiving yards (3,831) and touchdowns (36). He is also second in career receptions (235). Heckendorf accepted a scholarship to FCS (formerly Division I-AA) North Dakota State and ended a four-year collegiate career (2005-08) as the all-time leader in catches (178) and receiving yards (2,732) for the Bison. He signed with the Green Bay Packers as an undrafted free agent in 2009 and later joined four other National Football League organizations: the Detroit Lions, Seattle Seahawks, San Diego Chargers and Indianapolis Colts. Kole and his wife, Kristen, and son, Landon, reside in Sauk Rapids.

But Heckendorf can leap from 2nd story windows... http://www.startribune.com/two-killed-as-small-plane-crashes-in-sauk-rapids-home/264067131/#1

Did SJU really swap off Scholastica for Thomas More? Just because of a little pressure for putting up a big number? or did Kurt decide it wasn't in their best interest?

I don't see it as a swap.  If I had to venture a guess, I would guess that there was some administrative pressure at CSS to drop the game.  I don't see Kurt backing down.

Pretty sure that SJU will try to fill out a 10-game schedule.

According to the ATN podcast and the latest schedules, it's actually Scholastica playing Thomas More, not St John's. Kind of a bummer, but it still leaves a couple openings for St John's to schedule the Little Sisters of the Poor
