So, Philly is having a riot because they won the Super Bowl. I'm guessing they would have done the same if the Eagles had lost.

But the guy that stole the ostrich from the city zoo and was riding it through traffic is a new one. The video is on the interweb.

I read the ostrich died when electrocuted from down power lines.

Fake news.

The JM kid looks like a tough hard nosed player (although, small) probably a SS or WLB/ Rush-end edge player type. The Southern Minny is a pretty good 5A conference as well. The kid from IL, Welter looks pretty athletic for a 6-3 kid. Not sure about the level of play. It looks comparable to about 3A in Minnesota? WM4 what's the Football like in Plainfield South's conference?

Plainfield South is 8A in Illinois, the biggest football schools in the state.  Enrollment is right around 2,600 kids.  I'd say it's an average conference in terms of overall strength.  Oswego won the conference this year and went 3 rounds into the playoffs before losing to the eventual state champs.

Plainfield has 4 schools that have been improving their football programs over the last 5 years or so. Still a ways off from the neighboring Naperville programs to the North. I wouldn't say the Plainfield schools are a hotbed for D1 recruiting, but they're starting to send more kids on to play college ball.

Thanks 4! Sometimes it's hard to tell exactly what you're looking at especially when you don't see the crowd sizes. Anyway, Welter should be a good pick-up. He appears to be a matching bookend to the receiver from Menomonie.

Masui is an animal! He has a motor that doesn't quit. Kid looks like the real deal to me. He'll be hard to block. He's the best guy the Tommie's have on the board that I have seen to this point. Weimann is a big strong kid and looks like he plays with some intensity. He'll need work on his footwork but they all do. He is good D3 lineman recruit, we all know that you can't coach size.

A more competitive non-conference schedule will be a refreshing change from The Nursing School on the Lake and The Little Convent on the Prairie.
As of now they're on DOUBLE SECRET Probation!

Playing EPHS & Lakeville North would be an upgrade from The Nursing School on the Lake and The Little Convent on the Prairie.

If you go to the Bethel website and check next year's schedule, you'll only find the MIAC games. D3 Football is posting that the Royals will be playing UW River Falls on September 8th at home. Don't know yet if that's a home and home situation or not. Last year BU played University of Dubuque and Carthage College to complete the second year of home and homes with those two teams. Just took a look through the D3 posting of all 251 teams to see who Bethel could play on their two remaining open dates - 9-1 and 9-15. Staying in MN, WI and IA and ignoring the WIAC teams, as they are already playing one of those schools, I came up with the following lists. (I have to say though, that some of the following may not be available because their respective conferences may not have posted all their teams schedules yet.)

9-1
Beloit Buccaneers
Loras Duhawks
Macalester Scots
Simpson Storm

9-15
Beloit Buccaneers
Chicago Maroons
Cornell Rams
Grinnell Pioneers
Lawrence Vikings
Loras Duhawks
Macalester Scots
Martin Luther Knights
Ripon Red Hawks
St. Norbert Green Knights

St. Norbert was 7-3 last year
Chicago was 6-4 last year
Macalester, Simpson, Martin Luther and Ripon were all 5 -5
Everyone else was below that.

Not sure what Coach J and his staff have up their sleeves, but if this was the pile I had to pick from, I'd travel to St. Norbert on the 15th and invite them back next year for a home and home series. We'll just have to wait and see.

I think St Norbert's full schedule might already be there, as they have 9 scheduled games and #10 is the "conference championship" weekend with cross-divisional matchups.

Good detective work. Just a note -- Chicago, Grinnell, Ripon and St. Norbert are all posted in full. They have nine games listed, but the MWC will end with its cross-division games in Week 11, including the championship game, matching the first-, second-, third-, fourth- and fifth-place team in each divisions.

Martin Luther is also full.

Rodents and double rodents!  :D

That leaves the Scots from Macalester as the better team left in the bunch. Interesting.
