I'd also presume there's a Macalester-Hamline game -- we just don't have either team's schedule yet.

A Simpson-Bethel game would be decent.

UW Stout and Thomas More are officially on SJU's 2018 schedule.

SJU Releases 2018 Schedule

Hoping for an appearance by BDB in Collegeville on September 1

I was hoping for an invitation to the finsleft luxury suite.  8-)
Of course you have a standing invitation as an esteemed visiting dignitary. Alas, the suite has lost most of its value since some boneheads at SJU decided to plant trees that have now grown to such a height that trees are all you see. (2,500 acres of trees wasn't enough, I guess.) But, as you know, when life gives us lemons, we add vodka and say, "F**k it, I'll have a Hamm's chaser, too." So...be assured of a warm Johnnie welcome and a football experience commensurate with your dignitary status.

This seems like a great opportunity to provoke one of your UST internet message board friends into poisoning those trees for you, a la Toomer's Corner at Auburn.

One that got away! Congrats to SJ2! They just landed Cretin-Derham Hall's best offensive lineman. Elijah DeCoster, 6-1, 305, All-Suburban East Conference and Conference-Lineman-of-the-Year. He is a great kid from a very nice family. A good get for SJ2!

I don't know for a fact.
I presume UW-Eau Claire is still on the schedule and I've heard indications that our second game with be an NAIA team.

Kinzer has a nice big frame at 6-4, 275 and appears to be hard to move. As with most HS lineman, he'll need to work on his speed and footwork as well as upper body strength. He's not the caliber of the Minnetonka kid (Masui) yet, but he has a huge upside with his size.

Is Linfield looking to add a 10th game this season? I see they are starting a week earlier next year and currently have two bye weeks.

I haven't heard that they are. I believe Linfield thinks its schedule is complete. NWC teams are allowed to play 10 -- and, this year for the first time, SCIAC teams can schedule 10 as well. That's a waiver of conference rules for the next four seasons.

I don't know who in the SCIAC is interested in playing 10, but I know Redlands has 10 and Cal Lutheran appears to be still looking for a 10th.

I would assume SCIAC teams would look for a 10th as insurance against Oxy crapping the bed again.
