Notes: All State 1st Team; All Area Offensive Player of the Year; Preferred walk on offer from Fordham

QB — Quinn Boyle — has been a prize for LA

This kid appears to be a proto-typical Caruso QB. He's very athletic, appears dangerous as a runner and also throws well on the run. However, I kept finding myself watching this team. They appear to be coached very well. Watch the O-line, particularly the center, I wonder where he is going?

Proto-typical Caruso QB, eh? So is he going to be an All-Conference WR or All-Conference LB?
Or maybe a CB?

The year is young but I have to believe Faunchy you are in the lead for quote of the year thus far! That's a classic! Just an FYI, I am told by a local millennial that SJ2 has at least as many "Twitter Commits" if not more than UST. They just are not finding their way to this board. Personally, I would love to see how the John's class is shaping up or any other MIAC school for all that matters, particularly where the Minnesota kids are going.

Yes, but unfortunately Mr. Rajkowski is long gone from the SC Times, so there's no longer any news from Johnnieville.  Maybe Mr. Deland could send a "special" from inside the catacombs???

Jamto, good take on that. Looks like he could handle any of the above.

Hey MRF, we have almost identical posting stats, cool. Anyway, yeah it's too bad, Frank was a wealth of SJ2 sports info. I don't know how Mr. Tom Thumb gets his info on recruits (hopefully, it's all true, otherwise he's really good at yanking our chain) Maybe you could do a twitter search of say #gojohnnies or #sjufootball?

My bet is that he's on the coaching staff or works in the athletic department. At a minimum he's got a direct line of communication from somebody on the staff.  I'm also thinking he might be the same guy running the MIAC Football Recruiting page on Twitter.

Reminds me of Gabe Andrew.  Or was it Dylan Green?

If memory serves correctly I believe Mr Tom Thumb is an officer of the law. My memory  could be failing me though.

I think it's fairly easy to keep up with recruiting on the tweeter since all the kids seem to use a common hashtag (or pound sign of us non-millennials) that you can keep with. I think I even made fun of those pound sign catchphrases by SJU recruits in the last couple years. And yes, nearly every MIAC schools recruits are doing this. Ok, maybe not Carleton

With all this discussion about Twitter and tweeting, I might just have to open an account. Yeah, I'm old as dirt.

I hear you Art, I've got a twitter account but, don't really know how to use it. Every time I tweet something I get crap from kids (apparently my tweets are dumb)

Another UST commit:

Matt Cunningham, 6-2, 215, LB, Cretin-Derham Hall HS, Captain, All-Conference, Academic All-State, HM AP-All-State, Matt was arguably CDH's best defensive player. This was a really nice pick-up! He reminds me of a former SJ2 player, I am sure you Johnnies will remember him, Cam McCambridge (Edina) Great player for the Johnnies! I believe he may have been on the '03 National Title Team, he was that era anyway.

He was.
