My vote for the most informative post of the year. :)

There has been so little beer talk this offseason I was beginning to think most of you were on the wagon.   ;)

No, we're just on the edges of our seats waiting to hear of all the DI-level recruits that St. Glenn is bringing in.

A tradition unrivaled...

It's hard to talk about beer while drinking one. I can; however, read the boards when having a cold one. Here's looking at you, kid. Oh wait, wrong saying. I need to take a break!
Good luck to all you MIAC posters, especially U$T and SJ2. See, I do read your stuff.

Although I couldn't find it in my copy of 'The Rule of St.Benedict', I think Johnnies are supposed to drink Birra Nursia Extra during Lent. It says a hemina of wine a day. Duff is a lot younger chemist than I am and I recall him saying that converts to about 5.9 liters of beer. :)
My memory might be off a little.

MUC I'm impressed. You have noticed our subtle little jabs. However, no serious beer conversation can take place without involving the Sconi-boys. We were just waiting for someone from across the border to get it started. Badger, do you know if "Old Milwaukee" is still the most decorated beer in the history of American beers?

Duff, you just blew past Faunchy for quote/post of the year so far. We tried to give SJ2 a little love on the recruiting front the other day but, apparently none of us on the board have high enough security clearance to receive recruit information out of SJ2. Either that or you need to find a "John Thumb" to post some of your DII-level recruits.

Beer lovers

Of course we know that Bud Light is America's no 1 selling beer. Where does Milwaukee's Best fit in?
Hey, laugh if you will, but $6.99 for a 12 pack? OK, it's not great but the price is right.
Keep in mind, I'm old. I get mixed up and I forget things! 57Johnnie can vouch for that.
Have to run. Another beer awaits.

(Just want to keep the discussion on beer alive and well. Also may keep the Johnnies and the Tommies separated.) ☠ 🍻 ☠

(To avoid confusion, "Milwaukee's Best" is the name of the beer, but you probably already knew that)

You are a wise man MUC. True both camps can agree on an eternal love of beer but, do not get us started on the "Tastes Great vs. Less Filling" argument.

I think Schlitz claimed that.  Or maybe it was Old Style.  I've killed too many brain cells to remember.

Finally.  Is it the off-season?  I've had to wait patiently until it arrived.

Father talk?  The trials of girls growing older?  #1 (first year of college) is taking #2 (10th grade) and #1 cousin (10th grade) into the city tonight to see Bruno Mars at Rod Laver Arena (main court for the Australian Open tennis).  On Saturday, these three are also going to see Ed Sheeran at Etihad Stadium (one of the AFL venues in town) and are up front on the floor.  Mrs Oz is also going to Ed Sheeran with #3 (7th grade) and #2 cousin (also 7th grade) but they are up in seats somewhere.  I wish I had had a boy.  Someone to go to ACDC with.

I guess kids will grow older.  That can't be stopped.  But I don't have to like it.

You sure don't have to like it Oz. It is part of life though and it has a way of kicking your butt when you least expect it.  We are close to the empty nest years and it sounds good but the reality is a bit spooky. Looking forward to surviving it and enjoying the free time.  I decided last night that these young women have a life ahead of them and I need to stay out of it. Easier said than done.

Oz, Auggie, I hear you man. I will be throwing my second wedding in two years this June. I now have a Granddaughter (product of the first wedding) This years wedding is child#3/daughter#2. My son (child#5 of 5) will be a freshman at UST this fall. Be careful though Auggie about the empty nest thing. My oldest son (child #1/5) just moved out of the house for the second time (@29yrs old). So, they do come back! Especially this day and age with all the student loans etc. And you are both right, we don't have to like it. However, I am learning to just kick back, put my feet up and enjoy the moment.

LA's A-Rod is a hit ... on the gridiron

Both the Offensive and Defensive Players of the year for the Chicago North Shore Area are headed to UST! I am sure Wally loves this A-Rod kid. He hits like a freight train!

The often disputed LA -> UST pipeline continues!
