Had to go to a pepfest at school today, they are the worst.  The only thing that made it tolerable was a surprise visit from Duffman Senior!  We sat next to each other and were miserable together.  It was fun to catch up and retirement sounds like it is treating him well.

Good to hear!  Was he subbing?  He subs at Sartell quite a bit, but I didn't know he was subbing in 742, too.

Saint John's University senior linebacker David Franta (Winnebago, Minn./Blue Earth Area) will receive the 2018 Stein-Fallon Scholar-Athlete Award from the Minnesota chapter of the National Football Foundation (NFF) at the 11th annual Minnesota Football Awards, presented by the Minnesota Vikings, on Sunday, April 29, at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis.

The award is in honor of former University of Minnesota football student-athlete Bob Stein and the late Pat Fallon, who was the CEO of Fallon Worldwide and a Minnesota graduate. The Stein-Fallon Scholar-Athlete Award is awarded to one senior football student-athlete from a Minnesota college or university who demonstrates outstanding academic achievement, football leadership and community citizenship.

Good to hear!  Was he subbing?  He subs at Sartell quite a bit, but I didn't know he was subbing in 742, too.

He was subbing.  He said, "if I knew there was a pepfest today, I wouldn't have taken the job."  I think he subs only in math in 742.  The Math Department loves to have him sub because he is someone who can actually teach math when they are gone.

At the risk of spoiling your fun and actually talking about football, I want to say congrats to Travis Sinclair and Bethel. I have watched this guy for several years play d tackle as well as o tackle. He is good and when he is in there, he changes the game.  A great pick up for Bethel, too bad BU does not have a wrestling program . I assume SJU was all over him.
