Know how you feel. My 17 year old grandson is a ranked tennis player in Florida. Only contact is with the net or the occasional wild ball. I like it that way. I guess we're lucky.
Go Warhawks and Go Raiders! OK! OK! Go Everybody! Happy Fourth! ☠🏈🇺🇸

But even that may prove too dangerous. Johnnie/Tommie week in 2030:

Well, it's a sad day at Hawthorn.  Legend Cyril Rioli has decided to retire early and move back up to the bush.  He's been away from home for too long.  He's a humble country boy from the far north who comes from a family of football legends.  Not only has Cyril won the Norm Smith medal (the Grand Final MVP) but two of his uncles have as well.  Cyril is from a small, football mad island, the Tiwi, of only 2000 people off the north coast of Australia.

Cyril was an electric player who was on four championship teams, was a three-time All-Australian and a Norm Smith medalist.  Most importantly, he was the favourite player of every young Hawthorn fan, including #2 who literally shed a little tear on the news of Cyril's early retirement.

Here are 10 quick highlights from Cyril's career.  #7 against Geelong in the '08 Grand Final is my favourite.  And #1 is the lightest, quickest bit of evasive dancing ever seen on the footy pitch.

Where ya been, big guy? I missed you, not that there's anything wrong with that. Hope your summer is going well.

And 57Johnnie

We're the "older guys" on these boards. As elder statesmen, we need to keep in touch. Hope all is well with you.

Best to everyone. ☠🏈🇺🇸🍺

Thanks for the +k. I don't really worry about it anymore. A few weeks back I wished everyone a Happy Father's Day. I got 2 -k's. But I appreciate your gesture. Someone will probably jump in and give me a -k, so I'll be back to even.
Any info on how the Johnnies will do this year? Such a great program in the Gagliardi era. Skunked the raiders in the 2003 Stagg Bowl. Would love to see them get back in the national limelight.
For now, I'll just say - Go Johnnies, Go Raiders. Why not, Go Everybody! ☠🏈🍺

A couple guys were out fishing in kayaks when they had an encounter.   Very colorful language in the video but more than justified seeing as what they had an encounter with.

https://www.news.com.au/technology/science/animals/kayaking-mates-have-exciting-encounter-with-great-white-shark-while-fishing-off-nsw-coast/news-story/8077089a9dad36b8aea27d09ed0435d1

“The footage kicks in after it had circled me once already and I decided to move away … unfortunately she decided to give chase, she was very curious,” he wrote.

“Such an awesome experience. I’ve caught small sharks in the past, had juvenile bull sharks cruise past the (kayak) in local estuaries … but nothing like this beast.”

We stayed a month in Sandusky Ohio this week MUC57. Heading home now.  Never had a chance to fish due to family stuff but I did have a tasty Lake Erie Perch sandwich dockside at Put-in-Bay.

I have had scrod in Boston, petrale and sand dabs in San Francisco and other fish in various places around the country, but nothing, in my opinion, compares to Lake Erie perch. They're small but mighty! Was that your 1st perch? They are almost always great but, every now and then, well, you know.
That's a fun area up on the islands. Haven't been there in years, but maybe, someday.
Hope you had a great time. And may our teams do well this season. Good chatting with you again.

Not my first perch, my favorite are fish caught through the ice. The cold water probably makes the meat firm. That was my first Lake Erie perch and it was excellent. I agree with you; it would be very hard to find something better. This may stir the pot here in Minnesota but I prefer perch over walleye.

Thanks to you for the conversation!
