B.  I don't worry too much about the daughter.  She knows how to handle a pistol safely and shoot also carries an mini OC canister on her key chain.  That and she thinks it's hilarious to tell potential suitors that her dad is a Deputy Warden at a State correctional institute. 
C.  You guys are too much with the Chuck Norris, Chris Kyle, McGuyver comparisons.  Not even close to any of them.

Kubiak, went empty nest a couple days ago. Quiet at home. I tell my wife I married her for her tuna noodle casserole and I haven't seen it in 20 years.

I'm not sure she got the hint.

Biiiiiiig game on Thursday night to open the post-season with Hawthorn taking on defending champs and season standings leaders Richmond.  It's a sellout so 95k+ are expected and the atmosphere should be outrageous.  There is light rain and cold wind forecast, however, so that may dampen turnout as the soft puddings stay home to avoid melting.

The winner gets a weekend off to recover while the loser takes on the winner of the Geelong v Melbourne match on Friday night (the loser of that match is out).

It's been a while and I see nothings changed which is refreshing.  Youngest is in her 2nd year at the U of M in the cities.  Moved her into her apt. this weekend.  One of her friends had a UST sweatshirt on.  Made me quietly chuckle to myself.

Congrats, and here's to everyone's children doing well. Sounds like her friends are going places...

So who will be the Royals QB moving forward? Marsh or Roste?

Hard to say at this point, but Marsh didn't look good at all. Only completed 3 passes and had 2 ints. I have never been too impressed with Marsh. I'm hoping they give the reigns to Roste and if he produces we may have our qb for the next 4 years.

My guess would be Roste.  He fits the bill more for what coach J has liked at QB (bigger guy, dual threat).  I thought that Marsh looked pretty good when he started out as a freshman a couple of years back, but he hasn't really progressed much beyond that, IMO.

He's generally safe, but for the most part not a difference maker at QB.

Glad to have things underway!

If Coach J pulled Marsh because of the dropped snaps, it didn't seem to get any better after Roste got in the game. At first, I wondered if Marsh had hurt his hand and couldn't handle the hard snaps. I'm betting the Center is getting a lot of snaps with both QBs this week. Watching the game on a cell phone at the cabin up North is better than nothing, but it's not the same as on a full sized screen. It's almost like listening on the radio.

I didn't notice it until this week.  One of my classmates pointed it out.

It seems the Johnnies are quietly letting the #1 inside the U disappear from the logo in official publications.  I looked back and they've been using this new one since the end of June/early July.  The football team had the new logo in the pre-game notes for the UW-Stout game.
