Well Oz,

If my state legislators INSIST on using my taxes to line the pockets of billionaires, I would hope the people that benefit from those tax dollars at least let the people they proverbially "own" exercise their constitutional rights in those publicly financed stadiums/arenas.

Not sure how that makes me a technocrat or an authoritarian.

Seems to me some of you are soiling the flag you're wrapping yourselves in. Of course, if Kavannaugh gets confirmed we'll probably be forced into flag respectin' like all the greatest countries in history.

Seems to me that respect is an individual state of mind and you're doing a pretty good job of demonstrating that you aren't good at it. Particularly toward your fellow posters here who are interested in keeping this forum entertaining.  I guess respect only happens when you feel charitable enough to have some, eh?  I mean, what do we deserve here?

Also, I suggest you look up libertarianism again. I suspect its not what you think it is. You're more of a technocrat authoritarian it looks to me.

Noooooooooh, don't get him going again  ;D Remember, he's an attorney he'll argue til the cows come home. Besides, it forces me side with you Johnnies!

Just so you are not accused of being a racist, you must now begin spelling it; R-E-S-P-I-C-T, ala the Rev Al.

I heard from a reliable source that SJ2 is apparently trying to start a hand-holding tradition. They've been witnessed testing out a few hand-holding formations for taking the field at multiple practices. I suppose it's true that imitation is the greatest form of flattery.   :)

Ha!  I hope that for once you're right. The alumni uprising would make the sacking of Rome look like a pajama party.

Big game against the Tiges tonight. Let’s hope a good crowd braves the foul weather.

Will that be shown on the $10 video?

Depends. How much bread are you willing to buy?

Is it a good goal to have your QB commit 0 turnovers?

Follow-up Q: Is it a good goal to have your RB commit 0 turnovers (fumbles)?

I'm the only one on the board who remembers how good the Johnnie bread was back in the 50s.
Some of the younger Johnnies can tell you what it is like now.  :)

I used to work the info desk, where the majority of the bread is sold (at least most of it was sold there then).  Fresh, it's great, but it doesn't stay that way long.  Back then, they'd keep extra loaves frozen.  On busy days, if you were early, you could get still-warm loaves, but when the fresh stuff ran out, you'd get the loaves from the freezer.  Many people would ask if we had fresh or forzen--no one wanted the frozen.

A tradition unrivaled...

IMHO, 0 Turnovers would be a team goal. Turnovers occur when there is a breakdown and not necessarily the fault of the QB and/or the RB. The QB's should have goals based on what it takes to achieve "0-turnovers" from his position such as: Mechanics, check downs, throw aways, etc.. Similar goals would be applied to the RB position. What does it take from my position to complete a successful pass play and or a run play? Goals should be based on the breakdown of what it takes to achieve a desired outcome. There is too much pressure on the individual when the focus is placed on the outcome.

Back then, all our meals were in the Refectory. The nuns baked bread every Mon., Wed. And Fri. and the butter was churned right there. The average student gained 15 lbs the first semester. Needless to say, it never got stale. :)

Having your QB commit to a goal of zero turnovers is a dumb goal unless you want a Checkdown Charlie petrified of taking shots down field. If my QB throws a 40 yard pass on 3rd and long and a safety or corner makes a great play on the ball, so be it.

It's a more reasonable and okay goal for your RB to have.

I'd still make the case that it's a bad goal for a RB. I don't want my RB to be afraid of making contact. Limit the fumbles, sure, but if I'm a coach and I set a 0 fumble goal? Nah, that's bad coaching.
