Aw, I was just funnin with y'all! I once met a guy from Minnesota when I lived in California. Seemed like a nice person. I think he was a hippie! Kept chanting about freeing the Chicago seven. Wanted to make love, not war. Smoked funny looking cigarettes. Ah, the old days. 🍺🚬🌸

Doesn't bother me any. I'm a transplant from North Dakota so I'll never fit in. In Minnesota they have a creed: "One of us." If you're not born in Minnesota you're not REALLY a Minnesotan. Unless you're famous, then, if you've had a one hour layover at the MSP airport once 15 years ago you're officially a Minnesotan.

My favorite part of any Minnesota cocktail party is the person you're talking to looking over your shoulder to see if there's anyone more important they can talk to.

I really like it here.

Sure, then you head home across the Red River and tell folks you "went out east for college."

I try not to. Upon hearing something like that the boys down at the Broken Drum would say "Whaddya think ya better than me?!" and would then bash me with a barstool and say "Ain't so smart now are you college boy?"

Really a tough spot to be in to be honest.

B) I'm from North Dakota (but if I lived in South Dakota it would be the Black Hills or Rapid City, not Sioux Falls);

"Whaddya got against Sioux Falls?" says the guy that currently resides there.
Sing us a song, you're the piano man
Sing us a song tonight
Well, we're all in the mood for a melody
And you've got us feelin' alright.

How about golf clubs-what is everyone using these days with no Nike clubs?
Had Nike, sold to a friend last year after they exited golf business.
I currently am playing custom clubs by a guy who's name you'd recognize. He designed for the big names for years, then opened his own studio years back & sells though club fitters.I have forged irons & tour grind wedges. 10.5 degree Ti driver,1 degree upright. Graphite shafts, pured, in everything.
About half the price of the "name brands" and they are fit for me.
Too much detail? I'll stop.

I understood very little of that post.
Zip will understand and that's all that counts.

Nothing. It's just like Fargo. Just another windy mosquito infested upper-midwestern town hoping to be the next Omaha or Des Moines. Which is a sad goal that bums me out. I've spent about a month of my life in the Black Hills and don't recall ever being bored or being bitten by a bug. Advantage, Black Hills.

Sheesh, can anyone in Wisconsin even walk a straight line?

Oz,
If you read the report carefully, it just proves that the people in Wisconsin are more honest.  ;D

Oh yes, I understand.
I am still using the Nike Vapor-dialed in at 9 degrees and neutral, with Calloway irons. Tried the Taylor made driver-M3-but like the Nike. Go tiger, I guess or Ricky.

Always loved Sioux Falls.
Often carpooled with fellow Johnnies and Bennies from Sioux Falls and Mitchell (my home town) during the late 60s and early 70s.
During that time many a 19 or 20 yr old Minnesotan drank their first beer in SD when they crossed into SD near Sioux Falls / Brookings.
I still remember how the Minnesota girls always got prettier at closing time. ;D

Those are some serious sticks. You must be a 2 or better.

I have a Ping G400 driver, a couple of Callaway fairway woods, two Cobra hybrids, and Callaway X-Hot irons.  Cleveland 54 and 58 degree wedges, and three putters that I rotate depending on how well THEY perform. They've all been in the doghouse at least once this year. (BTW, I'm a 4.8 index as of Saturday. Usually somewhere around 5 - 6)

Nope, but I keep working on it. The use of a simulator pass last winter has made my ball striking more consistent, but  my age is becoming a factor. I like the graphites in the irons & puring the shafts is worth the extra $$ for the consistency. Playing 4 wedge system. Distance control is key for me. More make-able birdie putts has resulted in more birdies per round.  Now if I can eliminate the rouge "other" on the card I may be on to something.... 8-)

To change the subject only slightly, are used Lunds worth the premiums you seem to pay for the name?  (It is Carleton week afterall.)

Boats!  Another topic I love!

In my opinion, no.  They're certainly one of the better Midwest boat builders, but I think you can find an equal boat for a better price.  Resale is higher on Lunds, though (like you mentioned).  Minnesotans love their Lunds.
