After a Seattle-ish week of weather, tomorrow is shaping up to be beautiful.  I'm looking forward to loading the kids into the old front-wheel drive sleigh and trekking up I94 for the first time this season.

Forecast calls for 59 F at kickoff with clear skies and a south with of 10-15 mph.

Will that hamper the Carleton "Air Raid"?  #KeepStackin

To change the subject only slightly, are used Lunds worth the premiums you seem to pay for the name?  (It is Carleton week afterall.)

Boats!  Another topic I love!

In my opinion, no.  They're certainly one of the better Midwest boat builders, but I think you can find an equal boat for a better price.  Resale is higher on Lunds, though (like you mentioned).  Minnesotans love their Lunds.
Duff,
Is there still a Larsen in Little Falls? At one time I had Bertram in Miami. Some bureaucrats always wanted to inspect us in January and Larsen in July. We got together and decided it was easier for both companies to reverse times. They didn't want to go to Little Falls in January or Miami in July for that matter.
BTW: are you interested in a 31ft Bertram with twin Cummins diesels?

I'm not sure if Larson is still in LF.  There's been a lot of mergers within the boating industry in the past decade or so--former rivals now under one umbrella and such.

Totally would, but I couldn't get it on our lake.  Now if you want to get rid of that Beretta O/U, I'm your man.  ;)

Oops. My son didn't want it so I promised it to a nephew or else it was yours and I don't sell guns.
You probably wouldn't like single non-selective trigger and only extractors anyway. :)

Always loved Sioux Falls.
Often carpooled with fellow Johnnies and Bennies from Sioux Falls and Mitchell (my home town) during the late 60s and early 70s.
During that time many a 19 or 20 yr old Minnesotan drank their first beer in SD when they crossed into SD near Sioux Falls / Brookings.
I still remember how the Minnesota girls always got prettier at closing time. ;D

Nothing. It's just like Fargo. Just another windy mosquito infested upper-midwestern town hoping to be the next Omaha or Des Moines. Which is a sad goal that bums me out. I've spent about a month of my life in the Black Hills and don't recall ever being bored or being bitten by a bug. Advantage, Black Hills.

Yeah. I hear you.  I hinted to my then fiance that I really liked the idea of moving out to Spearfish after law school.  We took a trip out to the Hills once, and she thought it was awesome and way better than Sioux Falls.  However, it was not worth the extra 5.5 hours of drive time away from her family in Indianapolis. An 11 hour drive from Sioux Falls to Indy is bad enough as it is.

Ah, you Minnesotans! A few days of rain and you are comparing it to the Pacific Northwest! ;)
I always tell people, you don't have to shovel rain! ;D

We picked up between 2-5" of rain the past week, so it's somewhat justified!

I wonder which Beretta O/U you have as the models I know of all have ejectors.

As you know 57Johnnie, Beretta is the oldest company in the world so they had to make an extractor model at some point.

Amazing how much that place has grown.  I was born in Sioux Falls, and we moved to MN in 1991 when I was 6.  Population was at 100K then, and is at 175K now.  We lived at the blue dot in the image below, and our backyard then directly bordered endless cornfields / soybean fields, but is now well contained by development.

Had mine a long time. You could opt for extractors. When blue rocks or white flyers were in season and/or you reloaded hulls extractors were better. Some ranges wouldn't let you pick up hulls that hit the ground. Works fine for me.

Yes I am sure you have killed many birds and broke even more clay targets over the years with that gun.  Extractors do have a place and I get that. Thank you for the explanation!

That was my first one, muzzleloader percussion cap .  :)
This one is just about 40 years old. Nothing but lead shot ever ran through this one.
