I've heard that Caruso is becoming increasingly strict in his high-priced pursuit of national glory and a D2 opportunity.  I've heard he won't stand any nonsense. Last Saturday, he apparently caught two fans climbing over the stadium wall and was extremely angry with them, confronting the pair with some small physical intimidation even. He grabbed them and yelled: "Get back in there and watch the game until it finishes!"

I'm really starting to wish that U$T would go Division 1....it would be great to have an actual Division 1 program in the state of Minnesota! 😒

Speaking of coaching with "NOs", I remember my first game suited up against the Johnnies in 2000.

Roney was justifying his coaching techniques to me one day before practice that week and said: "I mean, say what you want about the tenets of a padded practice, USTBench, but at least it's an ethos."   

Then came game day.

Me: Are these the Johnnies Coach Roney?
Roney: No USTBench, these men are nihilists. There's nothing to be afraid of.

Then we scored zero points and committed Donny's mortal remains to the bosom of the Pacific Ocean, which he loved so well.

Even though you are a Tommie, I wish I could  double + you, Dude.

Not to give preference to one team over the other, but I remember back in 2015 when ESPN broadcasted Sportscenter from St. Johns ahead of the Tommie Johnnie game. (I'm sure many of you were there. It was at like 5:00am!) I saw one of the best sports sings ever. It read:

"John was the beloved. Thomas was the doubting"

I liked that a lot! Only at a Catholic school rivalry!

Now, back to the regularly scheduled mudslinging!

Just wait and see what happens if the meet in the playoffs this year! It would make a Mount Union-John Carroll rematch look like a church social by comparison!

A  Tommie Co-Ed stumbles into O'Gara's and orders three whiskeys. The bartender asks: "Would it be better for if I put all three shots in one glass?"

The Tommie Co-Ed replies: "No! I have two sisters at home in Edina, so every time I come into a bar, I order a shot for them both."

The following week, the Tommie Co-Ed orders just two whiskeys.

The bartender asks: "Did something happen one of your sisters?" "Oh no," replies the Tommie Co-Ed. "I just decided to quit drinking!"

A recent Tommie grad was down on his luck and desperately in debt, so in his desperation to raise some money, he decided to kidnap a child and hold him for ransom.

So, he went to the playground and grabbed a child who was on his own. He took him behind a tree and told him, "I've kidnapped you.
He then wrote a note saying, "I've kidnapped your kid. Tomorrow morning, put $10,000 in a paper bag and put it under the oak tree next to the slide on the south side of the playground. Signed, Tommie."

The Tommie then taped the note to the kid's shirt and sent him home to show it to his parents.

The next morning the Tommie checked, and sure enough, a paper bag was sitting beneath the oak tree.

The Tommie opened the bag and found the $10,000 with a note that said, "How could you do this to a fellow Tommie alumus?"

Are you sure you're Catholic bluestreak? Because the Tommie-Johnnie rivalry banter is JUST like a church social in my experience. You must have some really tame church socials in your part of the country.
