The offensive game plan for SJU was outstanding. The passes in the one on one coverage were exceptional and exposed the corner. The game had some crazy exciting plays.

Hell yeah. Way to go St. John's! I love it.  ;D
A packed student section behind an end zone cheering on guys they will actually see in class on Monday is almost as cool as The Streak.

Erdmann's 470 yards is shocking because of quality of opponent and also impressive because it's a school record. But Gillach getting school record 256 yards -- at SJU, where great receives have dotted the roster for decades -- after never even having a 100-yard game in his first three years is....insane. And (Johnnie) magical.

I would prefer not to bump into Tommies in playoffs again, though.

Big props to the Johnnies. Masterful offensive gameplan. If someone told me before the game UST's offense hits 620 yards and Parks runs for over 250, I would have said sign me up. The Johnnie D made plays when it needed to though.

Jackson Erdmann looked like a high level D1 Qb today. Dropping balls in small windows all over the field. And he missed out on a TD with the TE drop in the end zone too. Scary.

Caruso has some very nice words for Faschcinng and in John's memory postgame.

Very cool pre-game note: With it being tackle cancer fundraising day via Randy Shaver's efforts, the Rat Pack from SJU came over and presented flowers to Rachael Caruso, in respect for her current Colon cancer fight she is in. A sentimental moment and wonderful gesture in a great rivalry!

Quite a few tears shed pre-kickoff. The Rats are good dudes. Restores my faith in college kids and the next generation!

Of course, another year of dodgeball. LINFIELD is going to duck the Johnnies in the playoffs this time.

Kilted Rat

Was able to listen to the game at the hospital between patient work today, hell of a win!

Also, awesome to hear about the classy gesture by the rats.

Is there an charity set up for Mrs. Caruso that people can donate to?

Also, does anyone know the address for the Rat Pack house and if it's still used by the Rats? Would love to send them a Gary's Pizza.
Now accepting new patients. All bills must be paid in scotch shortly after any services rendered.  Sorry TDT, no problems below the waist.

Whoooo!!!  SjOOOOOOONNNEEE!

Erdman was throwing rockets today. Gillach had sticky hands. And the defence turned up the pressure causing four critical turnovers including a 97 yard fumble return that no one thought was a live ball, including the Johnnie with it I think, until he crossed the 50 and the race was on for six more points. Just one missed point after away from a monkey stomp.

It was great catching up with a few people and the tailgate was nuts.  Some friends of mine had grabbed a spot up in the student section. Parents should not witness their children in that state.

And the magic stays strong!  A haven't returned to witness a Johnnie loss against St Thomas yet. May the streak long continue.

Congrats to The Johnnies of St. John's University. Who woulda thunk it? And you won handily. You might not have had a "Gipper"' but you had John. I'm sure he is pleased.
Nice gesture by your Rat Pack giving flowers to Mrs. Caruso. As miac952 said, it restores your faith in college kids and the next generation.
Wow! Would I love to be in Collegeville tonight. I would definitely  have a beer or ten with you guys (and gals). Good luck the rest of the season. And the best to St. Thomas the rest of the way.
This is surely a rivalry unlike any other. 😀🍺☠🏈❗️

Schipper Strong

Congratulations to the red and white teams on their key wins over the rivals today. It was a great game in Pella today also with the Dutch s coding the winning points with 21 seconds left.  John and Coach Schipper are celebrating in heaven tonight.

Looking ahead, and assuming nothing weird happens, the Johnnies will probably have to face UST and/or UWW in the playoffs. Neither is a pushover. Uww looks strong this year.

Congrats to the Johnnies! Was listening to the good neighbor while working around outside today.

So, last week Bethel played the Johnnies a bit closer in my estimation. I think Bethel should get into the top 25, but I know they won't because they are too far down into the weeds in the voters eyes. If both BU and the Tommies do not lose any more games until they meet on the last weekend, that will be a play in game for the play offs.

Could be an interesting last half of the season.
