So here’s what I heard from a buddy whose son has recently attended a number of recruiting days. They’re focused on small DI and DII programs, but they also visited UST. The staff at UST mentioned that players receive top of the line equipment that’s donated by the Vikings. They explained that this arrangement was established by staff who have moved back and forth between UST and the Vikings. Apparently the Vikings players go through a ton of equipment, with some getting fitted out with brand new pads every few games. This generates a mountain of barely used equipment that the Vikings give to UST.

Anything to help an MIAC program starving for funds is a good thing.  I'm all for it.  Perhaps UST is passing it's wealth of high-quality used equipment downstream to the more unfortunates.

If NCAA auditors monitor these threads then they better get into UST and make sure the in-kind contribution is being properly recorded according to Title IX rules.

I would say a more likely scenario would be a coach or player on one of the UST female athletic teams bringing this to the attention of the NCAA under Title IX.

Meh. St. Norbert's has had the same relationship with the Packers for a long time. I'm sure Minnesota St. Mankato had a similar relationship as well.

I just ran a quick calculation. The average margin of victory for MIAC conference games is 36 points (goes up to 38 if you remove the 1 game with < 10 pt margin). Average score is 45 to 9 (rounded). Total score for winning vs losing teams is 1096 to 223.

Decided to check Massey and lo and behold he's already included the average conference score.  Yeah, I'd say the MIAC is likely on pace for the record unless somebody can think of a historical year that was as bad.
