Are St. Thomas and St. John's competing for the same students?  From my perspective they seem like different institutions that attract/recruit different kinds of students.  Regardless, boasting about supposed academic excellence based off of college ranking lists seems ridiculous.  This is a football board; if anyone wants to brag about their academic "prowess" there are other websites where you can do that.

Now back to football: corn hole, what's the deal with Concordia this year?  Have they been dealing with some injuries?  Is Kragness just not as good as the QBs of the past?

Nice post.  Just one small correction.  This is a football, beer, fishing, sometimes hockey, a little wrestling and other select topics board.  But it's most definitely not an acidem... acedam... a... school smarts board.

Yeah, if not ridiculous, at least tedious... even in the offseason. The purpose of my post was not to argue one school vs. another, but only to point out there are enough "gameable" rating systems out there that there's something for almost anyone to grasp.

I think their is probably an equal mix of guys that could viably consider both schools and folks that are going to attend one or the other for a particular reason.

In any case, we would both be angling for... 4th place? Behind Carleton, Macalester, and St Olaf in the MIAC. It's a dumb exercise that might be fun if it didn't happen so often.

I really thought Concordia was taking a step forward this year. I thought Kragness was a better passer than they've had in a little while. But it seems their spirit has been broken.

My initial inclination is that like most sampler packs most of the beers will be horrible.

This Summit IPA Sampler was worth trying. I agree that most of those out there, especially around the holidays are for ****e!
