I've tried enough "holiday" beers.  Nutmeg and cardamom are not meant to go into beer.  :-X

Are you German?

I was going to say that the fact that you have a GIF in your profile, and an image in your signature, would both provide clues that you are comfortable enough with computers to not be in your mid 80's.   ;D

Ha ha, yeah.  Throw in one good beer with a couple of ****ty ones and make sure the good one is only available in the sampler pack.  Then, people will be forced to buy the ****ty beer, too!

This is a perfect summary of most sampler packs!

Hear, hear!  The only thing that belongs in beer is beer.

What kind of nightlife are you looking for?  What generation are you part of?

I'm GenX.  I'm not looking for any dance clubs... just bars, I guess.

Maybe somewhere I can talk Pat into coming to, as well.

We've got plenty of that.  I'm a suburban dad and haven't been on the scene in Mpls in a while, so take this for what it's worth.

Uptown is for hipsters.  I avoid it like the plague.

The entire area has exploded with microbreweries in the past 5-10 years.  The North Loop area is pretty popular now--Target Field is there.  Downtown West wouldn't be a bad option.  Northeast can be fun--not sure if there is much for lodging in that area, though.

Man, it's a long time in between drinks near the end of the season.  The weeks go by slower and slower.
