This idea has been in the back of my mind since noticing the NCAA playoffs banner at Bethel a few weeks ago and with SJU securing the playoff AQ the timing seemed prudent to mention it. The banner at Bethel shows the years of their 8 NCAA playoff years (2000, 2001, 2003, 2006, 2007, 2010, 2012, 2013).

It got me thinking that Gary is only in his 6th year at SJU and his team has now made the playoffs in 5 straight years. Not bad for a program that many were expecting to consistently be behind UST and most likely struggle with Bethel. There are certainly advantages to being the head coach at SJU but Gary has really risen to the challenge.

This is true.  His end of year performance reviews should be good meetings. Extremely well done with plenty of room to grow.

Gary is 3-3 against UST in conference play and then a playoff loss to UST as well. Impressive considering how dominant UST has been since 2010.

I saw it on twitter! As a result, I quickly carved mine into that puking seeds and guts Jack-O-Lantern  ;D Although I must admit you did a really nice job on it. It appears you have some artistic talent!

Less on the creative side and more on the functional side.  I took a Dremel to it for the SJU logo.  ;D

Wow, awesome idea. I was kidding on the puking pumpkin deal, but I may use your dremel tool idea.  ;)

To be honest, I already had both a corded and cordless Dremel.  ;D

I like where you're going, though.  I  think my 7-year old needs a new shotgun for Christmas.  I'll just use it till he grows into it.  ;)
