Brilliant way to convince your wife that 'We need to get this new tool for the kids. Its for pumpkin carving every Halloween Honey! Really, we should probably get it for the kids for their Christmas present this year."  ;D

To be honest, I already had both a corded and cordless Dremel.  ;D

I like where you're going, though.  I  think my 7-year old needs a new shotgun for Christmas.  I'll just use it till he grows into it.  ;)

Haha, already planning on a Ruger 10/22 for my 10 year old's next birthday. Only because I want him to have the gun to learn on, not at all for me to have a little plinking fun with

Hazzben, I may or may not have purchased a Browning Buckmark from a friend last year and justified it by telling myself that someday, my kids can use it.  :D

Tough crowd for the final home game of the season.

Sheesh. Looks to me right now like UST needs to beat Bethel by about 35 to even be considered.

I hope that's the last time we schedule a NAIA team.

Always a good policy.

I hope that's the last time we lose to St John's.

I don't think it would take a huge victory over Bethel. There's a slim chance Linfield and St Thomas could both get in (or Bethel and Linfield, if Bethel beats us). Also a chance that the win over Bethel is enough to put UST ahead of Linfield (I don't think Linfield has any RR wins), as it will be a pretty good win in the eyes of the committee.

Winning by 35 works for me too.

Nah, I took this as the committee saying, with the info and criteria we have right now, knowing the game in two weeks, here's where you fall.

If UST beats Bethel they are going to jump. Their SOS will improve, their RRO results will improve. There will be recency bias. They'll get in.

It does seem to indicate that a 2 loss Bethel has a faint heartbeat, but a 2 loss UST is probably dead in the water.

I think this is exactly right. Going to need Linfield and a few other chips to fall your way too. I don't think even a close loss to UST would be enough to keep Bethel ahead of Linfield.

Is it unrealistic to hold out hope that St John's could replace Whitewater as the #1 in the West Region?

Good luck with that.

It's probably slightly less likely than UST never scheduling an NAIA team again. But one can hope.

And I thought Concordia's fanbase was pathetic last weekend!
