Will we see the MIAC extreme weather policy in effect tomorrow?

Two forty-five minute warming breaks for the players?  No worries.  They'll being playing in front of ice cubes, formerly known as parents and fans.  But no worries.

Or if it hits zero then they don't play at all.  Cold exhaustion?

EDIT: The MIAC needs to move to Mississippi so that the weather falls in the comfort band.  Can keep the conference acronym that way.

EDIT II:  Or play indoors on the domed practice field.  There will only be about 30 spectators anyways if they plan on having people sit in the cold for an hour and half while the players are in the Palestra.  The dome should be big enough for those who stay.

EDIT III: I misread.  A 15 minute warming break every 45 minutes, I think.  Not sure how that rule actually reads.  But the good news is that spectators won't freeze.  They'll just stiffen up a little, like motor oil in the cold.

EDIT IV:  Wait, what?  When WIND CHILL hits 15 degrees they start taking warming breaks?  And when WIND CHILL hits 0 the contest is stopped?  This game will be a mess.

Hey, to all the trivia Schwab-type gurus out there.

Is it just me, or is Thomas More the first D3 team in D3 history to play all 9 of their first 9 games in a single season against schools each located in a different US state than the previous schools played during the course of that season?

So, my question is:  What famous D3 school halted the infamous Thomas More 'streak' at 9 games?

On a side-note, I think they will continue their streak of now 10 games of not playing a team from their home state.

So, does anybody have any insights into this trivia?   ;D

I thought I knew the answer, but then you called the D3 school "famous" instead of mediocre,  backwoods, or belligerent. So now I'm not so sure.

haha.  Would you settle for "infamous" instead?

Or, even better, move to Mexico.

Or, for your sake, they could all move to Melbourne! ;D

It is forecast to be 6 below zero, -11 wind chill, on Saturday at 1pm.  I reckon there's a chance this game won't be played.  If those rules do say there is no play when it's below zero.

Wow.  That would be something.

EDIT: Ah, Centigrade.  That goodness.  I hate the metric system.  21 degrees, 13 wind chill.  Crisis averted.  I doubt they do 15 minute warming breaks for that.

The SJU game, at least, is not a MIAC game. Would they still have to follow those rules?

Either way, it's gonna be chilly.  I already warned our kids that they're wearing snow pants and boots tomorrow, much to their dismay.  Did the St. Cloud area get snow?

About an inch of snow fell last night in the St. Cloud area.  My family has already bailed on going to the game.  Might have to spend 15 bucks for the video.

I'm trying to picture this.

. . . And now I'm trying to UNpicture this.

Back home after a successful hunt, venison sausages, steaks and roasts for the coming year - num, num/.

RZ - I have been out in this snow and cold North of Alex - and I am NOT going to the Bethel game either - I'm tired of shaking in the cold for 5 + days.

I am hopeful that there is enough video feed left that I can watch on the comfort of my home TV with wi-fi feed. Haven't tried it since we moved, but in theory it should work. I can always watch it on my 'puter.

The Tommies look formidable, but we have seen that they have clay feet, and can be beaten. I am hopeful for a close game so BU has a chance.
