The NCAA has shown themselves to be biased and idiots for decades. Nobody should be surprised at anything they do.

I think a lot of things are unlike last year for the 2018 Johnnies

It is my understanding that when setting brackets for 8 teams, #1 is at the top, and the number two team in the bracket was at the bottom, number three was in the bracket above them and the number 4 team ended up against the number 1 team in the second game. Is that not correct?

AO- give us the UMAC low down on Martin Luther. GAC beat them the first weekend in non-conference play.

BTW- isn't this the same school who knocked the Johnnies out of the Hoops Tourney this past spring?
As of now they're on DOUBLE SECRET Probation!

No doubt Bethel received the Better draw than the Johnnies. Bottom line the goal is to win the Championship you have to go through great teams to do it. UMHB cant be thrilled either having to play their conference rival then a very game Berry team just to get to SJU (we will assume SJU takes care of business). I can see a scenario with Bethel sneaking past Whitewater so the J's could possibly host a semi final if all goes well. Speculation aside the J's weren't going to get the benefit of the doubt as their playoff record has been less than stellar the past 4 years. This is a new year and no time like the better to set the tone for seasons to come, however anything less than a highly competitive quarterfinal game will be a significant disappointment.

I disagree with this. I think SJU got a rough draw given their playoff resume, but Bethel has a harder path.

Wartburg is vastly superior to Martin Luther (SJU will have to work hard not score 80 pts on them).

@ North Central is tougher than Whitworth @ SJU. I think NCC is probably a tougher matchup period.

If SJU isn't playing UMHB in the quarterfinals, they were upset in a fairly big way. If Bethel plays UWW in the quarters it'll be because they went on the road and beat a good NCC team that has a history of deep playoff runs. No one needs to tell SJU that NCC is a challenging matchup.

Having said that, I'm glad Bethel plays @NCC. Our field won't be up to it in two weeks. To be honest, I'd rather play @ Wartburg in Rd 1, giving up home field to ensure a good playing surface. But it'll be fun to be able to be in attendance at the game all the same.

Martin Luther is ranked 190th against the pass I don't see them posing a problem

Massey rates it a near triple monkey stomp out. 57-0.

I expect the Johnnies to come sharp and ready to show their stuff to this BS committee.

To illustrate:

#1 vs. #8
#4 vs. #5
#3 vs. #6
#2 vs. #7

Perhaps Pat or someone else that does a lot of bracketing can enlighten all of us, or maybe just me, on how brackets are put together.

I think they are separate brackets within the whole, so SJU has a bracket and they are #1 in that bracket-at the top. I think
