Duff,
I know there are limits for playoffs but does the MIAC limit the number of players on the traveling squad during regular season?

Travel rosters for MIAC games are limited to 60.

Anyone have an idea as to why the Johnnies video stream on Stretch says:

"Audio commentary will not be available for this broadcast."

Is there another whacko NCAA rule that prohibits radio play-by-play being paired with the video stream of the games?

No, but the NCAA allows for schools to stream non-commercial video broadcasts for free. Commercial broadcasts come with a pretty hefty rights fee, and pairing up a commercial radio PBP qualifies. I think SJU has used student broadcasters previously to provide a non-commercial stream.

Pat,
Do you know if I will be able to get VOJ on Tunein?

I would assume so, since that is just the radio broadcast.

I've never seen WBHR on TuneIn? The station website does their own stream though, right?

Good to know. I had tried to find it in the past with no success. Maybe I'll bring my headphones along. I'll be at the Gophers game tomorrow instead. If Bethel is close maybe I'll make a quick run up there for the 2nd half.

Use your phone, iPad or another computer to play the radio broadcast audio through the SJU website and watch the game on another device. If you have a roku or Apple Tv I'm guessing the SJU game video will be available through the MIAC app on those devices.

If you're in MN you can also access radio though:
The Bear 660 AM WBHR
-Sauk Rapids
*Covering central and northern Minnesota

740 AM WDGY (*new in 2014-15*)
-Hudson, Wis.
*Covering the Twin Cities and western Wisconsin

1170 AM KOWZ
-Waseca
*Covering southern Minnesota and northern Iowa

This technology sure as heck beats the dial-up back 15+ years ago and listening using RealPlayer!!!!

Gopher football games run about 3.5 hours now with media time outs and reviews so I would plan on the game to be over around 2:30.

Have you considered that the Gophs are playing a ranked team (yeah yeah, I know it's NW) and so the game might be over at halftime? I'd definitely be more willing to leave a Gopher's blowout than I would a St Thomas one because I'm not as invested in whatever players get in in garbage time for the U.
