I've never seen WBHR on TuneIn? The station website does their own stream though, right?

SJU broadcasts on WDGY on Tune In.

Good to know. I had tried to find it in the past with no success. Maybe I'll bring my headphones along. I'll be at the Gophers game tomorrow instead. If Bethel is close maybe I'll make a quick run up there for the 2nd half.
Gopher football games run about 3.5 hours now with media time outs and reviews so I would plan on the game to be over around 2:30.

Have you considered that the Gophs are playing a ranked team (yeah yeah, I know it's NW) and so the game might be over at halftime? I'd definitely be more willing to leave a Gopher's blowout than I would a St Thomas one because I'm not as invested in whatever players get in in garbage time for the U.
For this game I have not considered a NW blowout no. If the same defense shows up tomorrow, the one that whupped Purdue in the cold, then the Gophs will win. I understand your position though and I will be checking my phone or radio at the end of the game, expecting the MIAC teams to advance.

A little something to wet your appetite for Saturday

I had forgotten the blocked PAT returned for 1, no wait, 2.

I can get over it when refs make a judgement call that I don't agree with, but it grinds my gears when a rule is completely mis-applied.

I'm concerned about the field being a slippery parking lot tomorrow, and getting flashbacks of Aaryrton Scott and the Auggies scoring 60+ points in 2014 in the snow / Ice....given that Wartburg apparently has a pretty good QB, I'm feeling anxious...    :-\

D3 Guru's score predictions:

Keith's take: Bethel 28, Wartburg 17
Ryan's take: Bethel 31, Wartburg 23
Pat's take: Wartburg 24, Bethel 13
Adam's take: Bethel 28, Wartburg 17
Frank's take: Wartburg 27, Bethel 24
Greg's take: Wartburg 17, Bethel 14

Hansen odds to advance: Bethel, 67.2%
Consensus: A pure 50-50 split decision which is likely headed for a recount.

Keith's take: St. John's 56, Martin Luther 0
Ryan's take: St. John's 52, Martin Luther 7
Pat's take: St. John's 62, Martin Luther 8
Adam's take: St. John's 63, Martin Luther 0
Frank's take: St. John's 54, Martin Luther 7
Greg's take: St. John's 58, Martin Luther 7

Hansen odds to advance: St. John's, 100.0%
Consensus: St. John's in a runaway.

One should be the typical battle that Bethel and Wart usually provide. SJU is gonna roll to some level of Monkey Stomp

I was thinking more along the lines of NCC in 2013 style nightmares.

I don't think it'll be too bad. And we played on it last week in neer identical conditions. And in 2013  ;)

Key matchup will be Wart's WR's and their speed against BU's secondary and its size/speed. I think our guys can keep up fine, but we are noticeably larger/longer.

Current line is Gophers -2.0 - so Vegas apparently isn't expecting a blowout...

Vegas isn't. But jamto is. I'll see you in Arden Hills.

I think the major factor of that game was that the starting qb (Peterson) got hurt the previous game and we had to use a backup qb that had virtually no experience and it showed. It would have been an entirely different game if Peterson could have played.

That 2013 NCC team was very good - they were a heartbeat away from knocking off Mount Union (who got throttled by UWW that year in the championship).

Will always wonder what sort of a difference a healthy Peterson would have made for that game.  IMO, that was probably the best all around team BU has ever had.

But I'm literally eating the bit.  I've already swallowed half of it.

Don't forget to fill out a bracket.  Always good fun.  Plus I want more competition when I win.
