I think the major factor of that game was that the starting qb (Peterson) got hurt the previous game and we had to use a backup qb that had virtually no experience and it showed. It would have been an entirely different game if Peterson could have played.

That 2013 NCC team was very good - they were a heartbeat away from knocking off Mount Union (who got throttled by UWW that year in the championship).

Will always wonder what sort of a difference a healthy Peterson would have made for that game.  IMO, that was probably the best all around team BU has ever had.

Could very well be. Not sure exactly what year it was (2006?), but the team that had Phil Porta and Kirby Carr was a pretty darn good team as well. Too bad both of them were hurt for the playoffs.

I just checked back on Stretch and the audio broadcast will be there.  You will need to open to windows/tabs, one with the audio stream and the other with the video stream and then pause one or the other few a couple seconds if you need to get them in sync.

Link to the Stretch broadcast is here:

Not sure how that would work since they are live streamed. Once you hit play again, it picks up at the live broadcast, it doesn't continue where you paused it at. I can see if it was like playing a dvd movie where it picks up again where you pause it, but live streaming doesn't work that way, at least as far as how I understand it works.

Depends on the streaming service, many do have that feature.

I thought it depended on the type of streaming (progressive downloads versus live streaming), and live streaming didn't support that yet. At least every live streaming I've used worked that way. Or do you need some other software in conjunction with live streaming? Maybe I just haven't noticed.

Only 6 of the 32 teams were selected by the committee.  HSU acquitted themselves respectably against one of the two 'purple powers'.  JCU totally crapped the bed, but were unanimously expected to romp by the Quick Hits panel.  Bethel, Centre, and Muhlenburg (the other three Pool Cs) all won.  As for Pool B, I'm not sure any of the alternatives would have done any better than MIT.  Your statement does not reflect reality.

I think he is saying examine whether certain conferences should be AQ-that is the crux of the matter-again ML is still conference champ-why subject them to a 78 point loss? Ust would have been a better game

This one is for Pat, or anyone else who had insider knowledge,

The official line is that there is no "seeding." No one would be surprised if it turns out that it's UMHB vs UWW in the semis, that UWW would travel to Belton. But is it in the realm of possibility that if it's SJU vs UWW in the semis, that UWW would travel to SJU?

Bethel rolled today. Quick thoughts:

  • Total domination along both lines of scrimmage. The difference in physicality was a bit shocking.
  • Kilgore is a beast. He had multiple sacks and TFL's and some absolutely insane hits on both Wart QB's. Knocked the started out once, blew him up for a strip sack on another. He was all over the field. Crazy stat line coming.
  • D was lights out. Gave up a drive late that had some subs on the field, but on the whole they gave up only one legit drive and shut down a pretty potent Wartburg offense.
  • Roste is a manchild. Two more long TD runs where outran the secondary, but his real value is just his power running inside. He's just a house. Scary seeing a guy that big who can still outrun the other team's DB's.
  • Secondary was balling all day long. So many big plays, INT's, and break ups.
  • Willis was losing his mind on the sidelines in the 1st Q. First several drives BU just had their way with Wart and he was going nuts, screaming at his guys, our guys, the refs. Ended up with a PF for 15 yds. Saw him throw the headset, can't imagine what he said. BUt given playoff crews are pretty level headed, it must have been pretty choice to draw the flag.
  • Wondering how many sacks we had??? Can't remember ever getting this kind of pressure on a quality opponent like this.
