I'm surprised nobody has yet recalled that "you heard it first" from Frank Rossi of "in the huddlle" fame, that predicted Brockport had the toughest road to the Stagg on the pre-playoff podcast (too lazy to go figure out which one it was).

The one thing that has been established beyond a reasonable doubt is that the Johnnie Faithful are the undisputed juggernaut of the d3boards.  :)

57 with the MIAC mike drop.

Mr.MIAC

I've been on a little hiatus because of some overseas work travel. Congratulations to BU for bettering our Tommies...I hope you win the whole thing. Also, congratulations to SJ2 for making it to the quarterfinals. Making deep playoff runs hasn't been your forte over the past decade, but I'm sure you'll put in a good effort this Saturday.

Would it be a fair statement to think that had the NCAA committee seeded differently, a better, more realistic bracket would have seen the Johnnies get the #1 East Seed, and put in HSU as an at-large in the East as well. ? Travel is travel. Its the friggin playoffs man. That would have been a great way to see what HSU really is and would have given the proper respect to the Johnnies.

We really hope to welcome them to the Perk next weekend with the current pairings, so let it rip. I'd like to watch both games at the same time.

To do that, in reality, the NCAA needs more gate receipts.  Maybe U$T for all their fault$, and they are numberou$, is $howing the way by whoring their big game$ to off campu$ venue$.  Just because they are possibly doing us all a favour doesn't mean we need to be happy about it.

I don't think we would romp our way through another region, but I do feel as if we could make the quarters as in a way Mulenburg or RPI did this year. I've watched both play this year and I believe HSU is a better team than both. Especially the way we played finishing out the season. I would love to have the ability to do that, until then we will have to deal with the dominance of UMHB in our own region, if not playing another power in Linfield. It is a fair question, but I mean a lot of people were really high on Berry and you saw their result to UMHB compared to both of ours. St. John's is a good team, and I am anxious to see how they match up to UMHB.

Undoubtedly this is true.  And the way that the committee uses HSU as a punching bag year after year is one of the great scandals of the post season.

not sure juggernaut is the right word. I like boisterous, blow hard, troll, cacophanous, self agrandizing... any of those seems good.

That's the spirit!  51 weeks a year we're nice as Minnesota can offer.  This is game week.  One week we have to fight it out on the boards before the players settle it for real on the field.

Oh, and you're losing.

Obviously, he was correct.  It was so tough that they couldn't make it!

You took the post right out of my keyboard! Exactly what I was going to say!

I'm not clear on what the pushback to "take it or leave it" or "because I said so" or "because I'm the father" would be. . . .

Well, my 5 and 7 year olds are pretty good at throwing tantrums, but it generally gets them nowhere.

Prior to this year, out of curiosity, when was the last time the Johnnies made it to the quarterfinals?

This is what I don't understand - all the complaining by SJU fans (and no, not all) about UST using an off campus site for their big games. SJU is free to do the same thing. Sounds more like jealousy to me.

Never had an issue with this. Thought it was a cool one-time deal and UST should be free to do what it wants with its home games. Did think, however, that the extra walkthrough was a clear 4-point advantage.  :)
