Even MAC got someone on the team--not that we like to mention that school's name on the board because they jumped ship on the MIAC.

Nah, let's give them something to really b---h about. I'm hoping, with next years game at Allianz we really jack-up the ticket prices! I believe the $50 range would be appropriate. After all, it's not like it holds 37k like Target field. We'll have to make up that 17k ticket difference some how. How else can we the Johnnies to pay for our program luxuries.

Johnnies lose quite a bit, but they do have some/a few weapons returning.  Gillach and both TE's leave, plus Essler, 4 of their top 5 receivers, but Eckhoff, Van Erp and Blake Patrick are back which is over 1000 yds and 9 TD's.  3 RB's who started are back - Barber, Udoibok and Nick Jensen (FB), along with Trost who showed good in his limited chances (had a 100 yd rushing game if I'm not mistaken).  There's some hope.

On D, all 4 starting LB's back I think, 2 starting DB's.  Brinker's loss will hurt, but FR Wozniak showed good backing him up.  Borgeson up front is back.

So, the cupboard isn't bare.

Eckhoff is a SR. he will not be back. Blake Patrick has had flashes but needs more consistency.

If one of those youngsters could step up as QB, could Alvord play TE next year?  Not sure I remember an underclassmen getting much PT even in the 2nd halves.  Backup TE Westra was a SR, I think.  Could use some help there.

I got 10 tickets and I think they were about $20 after I paid whatever exorbitant fees went to line the Twins/Target Field's pockets.

I expect to pay a bit more than on-campus for Allianz Field, but I hope that it's a reasonable ticket as it makes sense for this to be not just a one-time thing for our home games in the series. Gotta leave more room for SJU folks to come support the UST scholarship funds so my kids can afford to go to college someday.

I've heard good things about the Owatonna kid at QB (Havelka?).  Fact of the matter is pretty much anyone is gonna be a letdown after the Erdmann era.

Course we said the same thing on these boards in 2002 about replacing you on the line and we got Dumo, so maybe we'll be all right.

Also just pictured the Owatonna running back who rushed for like 8,000 yards this year leaving the Gophers and transferring to the Tommies and shuddered.

He'll transfer to Bethel. Coach J is his uncle.

Whoever advances from UWW/UMBH will have likely played in two dog-fights against Top 5 type competition. They then will get to turn around on a short week (Friday night final), and have to play another great team to win it all. Meanwhile, back at the ranch, UMU is slaughtering the lambs. From a physical attrition standpoint, that is a huge disadvantage.

Also no disputing:

   1)  Geography + $$$ triumphs all in D3 football, as we know.  Still, the top seed is supposed to have the easiest route. 

   2)  Re attrition:  Mount Union has several very concerning injuries, only three of which I will mention here.

   3)  Re attrition:  One of two Mount Union stud receivers has one good hamstring.

   4)  Re attrition:  Mount Union's stud quarterback has one good ankle.  Is the same true of WWW and UMHB?

   5)  Re attrition:  Mount Union's #1 quarterback has one good ankle.  (See above.)  Mount Union's #2, #3 and #4 quarterbacks all transferred.  Mount Union's quarterback #5A is inexperienced,       
        can't pass and, oh by the way, is injured; Mount Union's quarterback #5B is inexperienced, and, well, #5B.  (I.E.  He tries hard.)

   6)  Mount Union's backup quarterback, based on last week's game, is its starting tailback.  (As in hike the ball to him and we'll run left, right or center.)  I'm not entirely sure how that would
        play against WWW or UMHB, assuming Mount makes it that far.  (I'm thinking not so well.)   

So, for the moment, spare me the crocodile tears.  (Now if the winner of WWW/UMHB enters the Stagg Bowl with a busted-up quarterback, bring 'em on.)

Kilgore on the 3rd team is a joke. Ask UST, SJU, Wart, NCC, and UWW what they think about him. Dude is an AA, not a 3rd team West Region player.

I will definitely pay for it.
No modifications. Block SJU 3" letters in red on your forehead & you have to shave your head, for life, so that your hair can't hang over to cover it up.
