I just enjoy the rivalry between SJU and UST, or as you guys would say, SJ2 and U$T.

In honor of the most recent season, shouldn't we alter this to SJ1 and USThree?

Probably  ;D

The SJ2 moniker has little to do with the institution's standing in the MIAC. It's more a commentary on the class of person one finds receiving an "education" up in Collegeville, particularly in relation to those who've matriculated at other MIAC schools like UST, MAC, and Carleton. Sad...

I disagree Rev. All Y'all private school guys seem pretty bright to me. Especially the two '57's and that one with the kangaroo.  ;)

Hanging with you guys makes me feel like I should ask for my BIG 10 education money back. I'll even return the diploma.

The BDB Empire says otherwise.  I always stop in when traveling through western WI!

Lived on this lake 30 years. Never have seen what I did today. Guy takes his snowblower and creates walkway 100 yards out through 3 feet of snow. Then goes back and forth making an area of 30 X 30 open. His friends show up and beers in hand drill holes and the ice fishing is on.
No luck, a walkway is cleared to another area and so on it goes.
Looks like a corn maze out there. Now I see that unlike the numerous winter storm warnings we have been in lately we are now in a blizzard warning.
Which is nice.

I'm not a basketball guy but I've tuned into the championship game between the Auggies and the Johnnies.  Intense.  The Auggies are playing with everything they have got.

I only post here to note that the same cameraman seems to be sucking down the same bourbon as during the football season.  Long stretches of the camera pointing nowhere and missing critical play.  It must be a student doing the camera and he's got a mate or a girlfriend sitting there next to him because he's often distracted.

Unfair that you get a blizzard warning and Chippewa only gets a winter storm warning.  ;D

Northern Ohio is in a wind advisory from 7 AM Sunday until 7AM Monday. Wind gusts of 65-70 mph predicted. Electric companies are preparing for massive power outages throughout the area. That will mean no heat. Help. Send beer care of MUC57, Alliance, Ohio. Please send cold beer since fridge will not be working. Thanks for your kind consideration. Go Kilowatts! 🍺

70mph?  That's pretty strong.  Some advice while drinking beer in those conditions.  There could be dangerous outcomes for all concerned.  Whatever you do make sure you don't pee facing into the wind.

The Tommies are having a rough go with a few third place finishes this season.  The Johnnies will square off against the Auggies (most likely as they still need to beat St Mary's) again in a MIAC championship after the Jays beat the Tommies to get into the final game for hockey.  Regarding the championship game, this time it's the Auggies who are favoured and nationally ranked.

Thanks for the advice. But how do I tell which direction the wind is coming from? Maybe it's different down under. I know the Coreolis (sp) effect is reversed down there! Oh, well!  ;D 🍺

I hate to admit it, but ust3 did finish in first in the regular season in B-ball and will probably get in to the ncaa tournament. I just hope sju isn't one and done this year.
Yes, camera person couldn't figure out that when the ball was stolen by the other team it might be a good idea to follow the ball instead of showing the empty half court.

You're right, zip.  My bad.  The Tommies aren't consistently finishing third, instead they are consistently failing to close out a winning regular season with a good tournament finish.  Their problem is choking.  Apologies, Tommies, for the unfortunate slight on my part when I misdiagnosed the Tommies' ills.
