Lived on this lake 30 years. Never have seen what I did today. Guy takes his snowblower and creates walkway 100 yards out through 3 feet of snow. Then goes back and forth making an area of 30 X 30 open. His friends show up and beers in hand drill holes and the ice fishing is on.
No luck, a walkway is cleared to another area and so on it goes.
Looks like a corn maze out there. Now I see that unlike the numerous winter storm warnings we have been in lately we are now in a blizzard warning.
Which is nice.
Unfair that you get a blizzard warning and Chippewa only gets a winter storm warning.  ;D
Hang in there. Hope all is well with you folks.

Thanks, buddy. Wind is really blowing now but, if I have to, I can make it 2 blocks for additional liquid nourishment. Think I'll be OK! At least we have no snow. More later! And Go Johnnies!   ;D 🍺

I hate to admit it, but ust3 did finish in first in the regular season in B-ball and will probably get in to the ncaa tournament. I just hope sju isn't one and done this year.
Yes, camera person couldn't figure out that when the ball was stolen by the other team it might be a good idea to follow the ball instead of showing the empty half court.

You're right, zip.  My bad.  The Tommies aren't consistently finishing third, instead they are consistently failing to close out a winning regular season with a good tournament finish.  Their problem is choking.  Apologies, Tommies, for the unfortunate slight on my part when I misdiagnosed the Tommies' ills.
This sounds like a great time to get the "U$Td needs to move to D1" conversation going again  ;D
As of now they're on DOUBLE SECRET Probation!

The Tommies are having a rough go with a few third place finishes this season.  The Johnnies will square off against the Auggies (most likely as they still need to beat St Mary's) again in a MIAC championship after the Jays beat the Tommies to get into the final game for hockey.  Regarding the championship game, this time it's the Auggies who are favoured and nationally ranked.
Winter sports are on the rise at Augsburg, both men and women. I attend hockey games and I watch in person both SJU and UST hockey games each year and it seems like they are still very good programs. The WIAC and NCHA are the top western hockey conferences but the MIAC is gaining ground on them IMO.

So much snow. It's over my front porch. Have to shovel it up and over from my front door.
Driving in on a state hwy, goes down to 1 lane several times because of giant drifts covering half the road and well over the height of my truck.
It's madness I tell you.
On deck are the floods.

Check out any local media sites. Driving around town is dicey because you can't see vehicles at intersections with snow piled up on corners.
And there's more on the way. Spring, where are you?

Try WEAU or Eau Claire Leader Telegram blizzard images.

Great year, Jackson. Johnnies everywhere are proud of your efforts, along with the efforts of your teammates, and I’m certain we all wish you even greater heights in 2019.

My heart goes out to you guys in all that snow. Nothing here but, as I posted earlier, on Sunday we had wind gusts of 60-70 mph. Numerous power outages, trees falling on houses and cars, roofs flying off, etc. But it's over now. I can't imagine what you all are going through. Stay in until Spring? Be safe all my friends.
And FWIW, meteorological Spring starts on March 1. That 's Friday! Have a cold one, bite the bullet and keep the faith. Go Spring ❗️ 🍺  ;D

The Pot calling The Kettle black!?

I'l tell you what is ugly DuffMan; those baby blue and red hockey sweaters worn by the Johnnies occasionally.  :-X

The colors work well for the SJU basketball unis but please spare us all on Saturday night at The Ed and leave those blue things at the locker room in Collegeville.
