Thought I would leave a post here requesting prayers for former Concordia QB (15-17) Michael Herzog.  Over the weekend he was the victim of a gas explosion in his fish house and sustained major burns over 80-90% of his body.  He was originally taken to Sanford in Fargo and has since been flown to Regions in St. Paul and is in critical condition.  He is a great young man with an amazing family.  Please keep all of them in your prayers.  The family has set up a CaringBridge page for updates.

Playing traditional Irish music is one of my hobbies.  I keep it sensible and have a couple of pints of Guinness (a fairly weak beer BTW) and a fair amount of water when I'm playing at a local session.  Yesterday was fun, went over to a friends house and we played a few tunes.  I'll leave the strange combinations to the young ones who haven't learned yet.  That reminds me, I should check on my son today and see how he survived the weekend.

What instrument do you play? I wish I had been into it when I was younger and would have learned to play some kind of instrument (fiddle, flute or even the bodhran). I've become a huge fan of Luke Kelly and the Dubliners. Michigan is widely regarded as having the worst roads in the entire country.  Partly because with the Great Lakes, we probably have the worst freeze-thaw cycles anywhere, but also because we have ridiculously high weight limits for trucks.  Governor Whitmer was probably elected largely because of her campaign slogan "Just fix the damn roads!"
