Time has come for UMD Bulldogs to repeat. But damn that Makar kid for UMass is impressive.
...... and he scored a great goal for the Avs yesterday!  :)

'Tis the time of the year for SJU season ticket renewal.  Prices just keep creeping up.  :-\  In the grand scheme of things, it's chump change, but nearly $25 per ticket is getting up there for D3 games.

A tradition unrivaled...

Wow! Even Mount Union only charges $10 per game.  :o

I think $10 might get you a general admission ticket at SJU, which means you'd be fighting for the first 2-3 rows of bleachers of sitting with the students (or visitors).  The "big money" gets you reserved seats with seatbacks.

I always laugh when I go to Huntingdon or Birmingham Southern. They charge $5 to get it, but it's kind of voluntary since there are all kinds of ways to get to the field without going through the "gate." I pay because I'm happy to contribute, but I'm guessing at least half the people don't bother. W&L doesn't charge. I think they are just happy to have anyone in the stands. Sewanee has gates that actually work, but again it's $5. $25 a game would not go over well most places...

So between 1%'r ticket prices, and charging for online viewing...is it now $JU?

Bethel charges at the gates for their general admission seating - no reserved spots. But I don't know for sure what the cost is because as a football alumnus, I receive free season tickets. I know students get in free.

I'll pay extra if they can get a darn video board someday.

Pretty sure Bethel charges $6.  I think Carleton is the only college that doesn't charge in the MIAC.

There are also a few suites that the .5% have on a seasonal basis. Not quite like US Banks Stadium, but they're OK for Stearns County  8-)
As of now they're on DOUBLE SECRET Probation!

Three questions regarding UST (potentially) leaving D3: is SJ2 likely to continue setting attendance records without the Tommie/Johnnie game? If UST goes D2/D1, can the Tommie/Johnnie game still be played as an exhibition? If so, do you think this is something either school would want to do?

Without Tommie/Johnnie, SJ2 won't set overall single-game attendance records, but they'd still routinely lead D3 in attendance, based on my rough calculations of their average attendance outside of T/J games. Of course, if that gets replaced by a non-conference matchup against the School for the Blind which only draws 2,000, the average numbers could dip.

If UST goes, I think Tommie/Johnnie isn't happening as an exhibition. Maybe as an out of division non-conference game, but it would be weird on a non-level playing field.

If U$T were to move up a division, what would they gain from playing SJU?  If they'd win--yeah, they should.  If they'd lose--major bummer in losing to a D3 opponent.

It's one of the reasons SJU and SCSU quit playing each other in football.

Totally agree. It's a no win / lose situation for UST.

The only caveat would maybe be the first few years in D2 since I believe they'd be provisional and not eligible for the playoffs. Maybe in that scenario a few final Johnnie/Tommie tilts to keep some enthusiasm in a season that has no chance for postseason play. And in all likelihood will involve taking their lumps (at least initially) from the UMD's and MSU's of the world.

Looking at the tickets available for the Cortaca Jug game, I'd guess they're going to get 50k this season.  So Ithaca is going to set the single-game record and win the 2019 home attendance crown.  If the Johnnies want the record back, US Bank probably has some dates open in 2020.
