What is the worst beer you have ever consumed?

Trader Joe's Boatswain Pale Ale https://www.beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/435/76402/
and something called Gray Lady (out in Boston a few years back) actually a buddy ordered it and none of us at the table could get it down. https://www.beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/261/40490/

What is the worst beer you have ever consumed?  I have three nominations in no particular order:

Sierra Nevada Kellerweis Hefeweizen- Had their pale ale and enjoyed it so I thought I would try some of their other beers.  I didn't read the label that mentioned a hint of bananas and cloves (to be fair, I don't care for bananas).

Leinenkugel's Berry Weiss- It's berry, berry bad.

Kona's Koko Brown Ale- I do like most of Kona's beers and brown ales in general, but this one is really bad.  Got it in a sampler pack, so I only had to drink 3 of them.
By itself, it can be a little sweet. Paired half and half with Shandy or dark beer (Guinness), it is actually really good!

The worst I've ever had was Dark Lord by 3 Floyds.  Usually a very solid brewery (and I'm sure, technically speaking, Dark Lord is a well done beer). But while you expect most Russian Imperials to be heavy and sweet, Dark Lord took both to the extreme, and was almost undrinkable.

What?!?! I love Dark Lord. I'm also a Russian Imperial guy though too.

1 question, did you let it age? I've always been told to let the Dark Lord's age for around 2 years before breaking them open. Same method I use with my Boulevard Bourbon Barrel Quads.

QuoteSo I was told by some fellow Tommies that this next school year is most likely the last season in the MIAC and they're hoping to find a new home by the end of this year. There is virtually no hope of keeping tommie johnnie alive and they are looking at applying for a waiver to bypass "D2" and go D1. They understand their chances are slim but feel they since they were "forced out" instead of just leaving, they think they have a sliver of hope. If that doesn't pan out then they'll reach out to the NSIC. Joining the WIAC is not their preferred route and going D3 Independent is worst case scenario.

Bud Light Clamato. It's slightly worse than the other Bud Light blended lagers.

If UST goes NSIC they'll be playing up in St. Cloud every other year. Who would the Johnnies/Bennies root for between the Tommies and the Huskies?

I wish this got as much press as lopsided football scores. Either way, great job by the UST football team impacting the world positively off the field.

Also, Bud Light Clamato is the worst beer flavor ever conceived in the history of time.

You really believe you don't know the answer to that question?

St. Thomas (if they replace Augustana) would presumably be in the South Division (with Concordia St. Paul, Minnesota State, Southwest Minnesota State, Winona State, Sioux Falls, Upper Iowa, and Wayne State) and would play St. Cloud State twice every four years.

I believe there is a NCAA rule that schools cannot play sports in multiple divisions.  With there not being D2 hockey I wonder UST would use that to their advantage.

I'd imagine they'd need to seek a wavier to be added to the list of the handful of other schools in the NSIC that are D1 in hockey, D2 for all else...just off the cuff, that seems like a higher likelihood than a wavier to go direct from D3 to D1?

Walters reports that U$T is hiring two assistant athletic directors. Most D3 schools barely have a full time AD. They are preparing to leave D3.

https://www.twincities.com/2019/06/29/charley-walters-twins-derek-falvey-thad-levine-are-keepers/

He also suggests that the Big East could be an option for U$T in basketball so i guess the Johnnie / Tommie game could live on!!
https://www.twincities.com/2019/06/22/twins-revival-proving-to-be-hit-at-box-office/

If U$T could get an exemption go D1 they might emphasize basketball over football...what would that mean for GC? I doubt he would want to play second fiddle...maybe by that point MAC will have established themselves in the MIAC and he could coach back where he started.
