Not to bash the St. Cloud Times again, but I was hoping somewhere here in the last couple weeks there'd be a little preview of what's up, who's looking good (like some PT for the Cal Luth/Lake Forest transfer guy?), what up with the running backs and receivers, etc.  I should know better.
Frank Rajakowski, former Johnnie beat writer for the Times, is now employed by the university. He writes about everything university related, so perhaps he may write some articles about football this season. We can only hope.
As of now they're on DOUBLE SECRET Probation!

It's September and almost all of last winter's snow is gone from the San Juan's just south of here so it must be close to JOHNNIE Football!  :)

Thank you for running this again!

Always fun to check in and see how well (mostly how poorly, actually) I did in the previous week.

AO -- Thanks for running this so well every year. Much appreciated. And was there really a "piperinsider"? Yikes.

A great hype video that has, I suspect, a little creative inspiration from Erdmann's previous uni home.

Go Johnnies!

Thanks AO. As the only 3 time winner, I imagine I'll be bid up pretty high at tonight's annual pre-season calcutta.

The long-awaited game notes have been posted for this weekend's season opener at Stout! Whoever's responsible for these does a phenomenal job! I haven't seen any come close & the same can be said about St John's game day programs! Go Johnnies!

I think the game programs are a mix between sports information and marketing, but (last time I checked) the game notes are all sports information.

Sing us a song tonight
Well, we're all in the mood for a melody

Good afternoon from Texas!

Hoping to join you guys/girls in some discussion about MIAC football.  My daughter is going to be a freshman at Carleton and we're heading up this week.  Unfortunately she doesn't care about football or really sports in general, but typically tolerates my obsession.

I'm a UT Austin graduate and am used to an over-abundance of information and discussion about the team and have been looking for some info on Carleton for some time and finally stumbled across this board this AM. Read about a month back and appears there are not a lot of Carleton fans active, but I intend to be one, informed or not.  :)

I streamed several games last season as she was narrowing her search and will watch all I can now.

Can anyone point to more information about the team, previews, what to expect?  I tried some searches for local newspapers but didn't find much.  I understand there won't be near what I'm used to, but figure my searches just haven't been good enough.  In any case, I'm all in and looking forward to following the team and league this season!

(please forgive me if I ask stupid questions at the beginning)

Welcome aboard! I will attempt to help guide you, at least until my MIAC board access is revoked at the end of 2020. You probably won't find a ton of coverage on Carleton but I highly recommend subscribing to d3football.com kickoff for an overview of the conference and to support the folks who do good work and coverage of d3 as a whole.

Welcome to the board. What can you expect? Here's a little preview of the type of game you're likely to witness later this season: https://m.herosports.com/collegefootball/st-thomas-minn-pulls-awe-inspiring-pat-trick-play-80-3-win

Welcome to the board! Carleton is an excellent school, you should be very proud!  Ignore the obnoxious Tommie fans...they will be gone soon! 8-)

Thanks!

OK, who can give me the basic run down?  Who's the traditional power/crap team?  Sounds like St. Thomas is trying to move up the food chain so I'd guess them as a strong program.

What about rivalries?  St. Olaf seems the easy one, and am I reading the board right that they are snitches?  :)

Probably a good time to ask if good natured smack-talk is allowed.  I do understand that my position as a Carleton fan, doesn't give me a ton of leverage, but it's all good.
