When your name is mentioned in the same sentence as the FBI and US District Attorney you've got yourself in quite a predicament.

Been there. My predicament was going to law school and passing the bar. 1/10, would not recommend.

Better or worse than time in the pen for making a bomb threat?

Considering I've cumulatively spent about a year of my life in county jails, holding facilities and state pens meeting with clients, I'd say it's a push.

Since BU had the weekend off, I took advantage of the free Saturday and wandered around.

(was actually there all week for work and then had a free weekend on the back end of the work trip)

Would love to have seen the inside before the fire.  Curious how long it will take to rebuild...

Went there once with the wife and it was amazing.  Not just the windows but the sculptures and all the other historical stuff that was just sitting there.  Also were lucky enough to hear a choir that was doing a free concert for some event in town.  I hope to get back at some point and will be curious to see how the inside will have changed.

Fortunately, Paris still has plenty of other stuff to see.

I've read anywhere from 5-20 years to get it completely rebuilt.

That sounds like a Charley Walters prediction. Just throw out some wild options across the board and know something is bound to stick!

Here's betting the genius had test's or something on the dates of the threats. Way to throw away your future  ::)

For sure.  That guy is a fool, an idiot (any mental problems notwithstanding.)

This bit made me chuckle.  Not high on his list of concerns, I don’t think.

QuoteSullivan said Persaud is suspended while the school conducts its disciplanary process and is not allowed on either campus for the time being. If found responsible, he will be expelled.

Augsburg inducted Devean George and Scott Hvistendahl into their athletic HOF last night. No brainer inductions for both.

Got me thinking ... has there been a better combo of star football and star basketball players, at the same school, in the same era, in the MIAC?

For those newer to the MIAC. Hvistendahl broke the NCAA's all-divisions career receiving yardage record held by Jerry Rice.  Hvistendahl caught 285 passes for 4,696 career yards and scored 41 touchdowns. He won all the major awards for D3 POY. He played several years of arena football after college.

George was a two time MIAC MVP, averaging over 27 ppg, All American, and was taken in the first round of the NBA draft. He won three titles with the lakers a played over a decade in the NBA.

I don't know enough history about Augsburg back in the day, but this late 90's era has to have been the golden era for them wasn't it?

WTF was with the targeting call on LaCasse?  Seriously, I don't know what he could have done differently.  I understand the intent of the rule, but some of the calls I've seen are questionable at best, and to be ejected for a questionable call is complete BS.

Based on SJU's Game Notes, LaCasse will be sitting out for the first half this weekend.

A tradition unrivaled...

Reporter Tom Elliott leaving SC Times to go to West Central Tribune in Willmar. Wonder who they'll put on the SJU football beat?

Maybe they'll just live-stream my tweets ::) as much as they seem to care about good local journalism anymore...

Yeah but they also cover places like Bird Island, Belgrade and Raymond. ::)
As of now they're on DOUBLE SECRET Probation!

A sad commentary on the state of the once mighty St. Cloud Times....oh, how the mighty have fallen. The Times was once a great daily hometown/area paper.
I wish Tom the best & hope he enjoys the new gig!

Obviously I'm biased, but I think we will be OK on Saturday!!😉

Yeah, I think we'll be alright.  I just feel bad for Ryan.  He's a good kid, and sitting out a game would suck.
