I don't think he got it, jamtod.

I'm monitoring my -k to see if the Johnnies get it, too.

You don't get any from me, even though you certainly earn them.  I just look at my screen and sneer instead.  Sometimes I even lean back in my chair, exhale and say something like, "Sheesh."

Sheesh.  ;)

Another interesting tidbit concerning this weekend.

Quote
Saturday's meeting is the first since 2003 in which both teams were ranked in the top 10 nationally.

And that game, as many will recall, was an utter classic which the Johnnies won 29-26 with a last minute or so touchdown to take the lead.  But even more notable was that this game was number 409.  The game where Gagliardi became the winningest coach in college football history (long may his record stand).

EDIT: Interesting to probably only me, but I can't think of that game without this song playing in my head.

OzJ:

That term ("Sheesh") is a Pat thing. You guys are starting to sound like him!

And jamtod, you made yourself an open target with that DB comment, but since Duff has been out hunting, he's had enough practice to  bullseye your karma.🧹😮😬 😊

Edit for spelling.

As someone who has ridden horses and showed cattle in the State Fair Coliseum, let me say it is getting a little dated even for those types of events when compared to other venues that host big time livestock and equine events.

I'm not positive, but I think this may be the first time the MIACPP has ventured into the livestock/equine arena, so to speak.

Not true, Tommie Johnnie week is coming up. I will let you fill in the rest.

Yes, I see now. I should send Rev a bill for teeing this one up so high for him.

Thanks for teeing this one up. Unfortunately, I won't be making any Bennie jokes today. Banter isn't particularly fun when the target of your derision is incommunicado. I figure it takes about a week for the Johnnies to drive the Bennies from Collegeville down to Allianz Field. The trip might be even longer if too many Bennies stray from the herd along the way. So the Johnnies probably already rode out with the Bennies and we won't see them back online until next week. I'll hold my Bennie jokes until then.

A little time for some commercial insanity?  A friend just referenced this one from the mid-90's when I was early in this country.  I had forgotten about it (trauma perhaps) otherwise it would have been here years ago.  It's literally insane.  Ken Bruce was a discount furniture guy that turned late night crazy commercials to 11.  Maybe even to 12.

Ken Bruce Has Gone Completely Mad

EDIT:  OMG.  These adds had me questioning my own sanity in moving here.

Holy crap. I would go down there just to see the crazies that those commercials incentivized to go there.

I guess, only to discover I was one of those people.

Genius.

It's two guys in leathers chasing around another guy in drag. I assume this sort of thing must make you Johnnies nostalgic for Collegeville. Aw, shucks...

If it can be done with discount furniture in Oz, it certainly can be done with Gas & Beer in Wiscy  :o
As of now they're on DOUBLE SECRET Probation!

Was looking forward to some teeth grinding, head banging, fist pumping playoff baseball.

Still waiting.
