In the post game interview VOJ mentions and Gary confirms that the powers that be in Collegeville are considering moving next year's Johnnie/Tommie game off campus.  Gary re-iterated over his dead body.

I hope they don't do it.  Please not.

I'm with you, Oz (and Gary). Toms needed to move the game because they have a toilet bowl of a stadium.

Gophers play Purdue at TCF Bank Stadium the same weekend as Johnnie-Tommie 2020.

I wonder if the powers that be are looking to US Bank Stadium? It would certainly make a November 7 game less of a weather liability.

YUCK 🤢!!!

3 TD scored, to 0 points but still not a Monkey Stomp because of the PAT problems. I'll take the shutout but the kicking woes could cause problems in the future. That being said, Bethel is a solid team, the Johnnies had the schemes to pull this out, but left points on the field. I don't understand the 1st & goal from the 5 in the 4th Q. Give the ball to Barber 4 times- even if Bethel holds they have it inside the 5 and you don't risk injury to Erdmann.

The Johnnies D-line controlled the LOS and dictated the terms of the game. I haven't seen 1 play from UST 2019 but I like the Johnnies chances 10-19-19.
As of now they're on DOUBLE SECRET Probation!

Mr.MIAC

Can we get a status update on the Bennies? Have they made it past Monticello yet?

With St John's shutting out the #6 team in the country & Whitewater only defeating #19 Platteville by a touchdown, what is the likelihood that St John's will retake the #3 ranking they had in the preseason?

Good question. I guess it depends on how many voters look past the score and into the box score. If they even do a cursory look, they will see the UW-W dominance. If they don't, they won't.

First downs: UW-W 29  UW-P 12
Total yards: UW-W 513  UW-P 237
Rushing yards:  UW-W 376  UW-P   19

Yet the WIACers jumped on the UWEC bandwagon when the Tommies won the statistical battle by a large margin. I know the Tommies lost that game, but still, there was that.

I have mixed feelings about Tommie-Johnnie week now that we're leaving the MIAC and set to land somewhere in D1. In the past, the cheeky banter was fun because it added to the competitive spirit. Now it feels a bit unnecessary given that we'll no longer be competitors.

Part of me thinks that engaging in the banter would be like we're bullying the Johnnies. It's sort of like when Rudy left his friends at the mill and headed off to Notre Dame. He could no longer joke with his old buddies in the same way because their lives were on two totally different trajectories.

In short, go Tommies! Also, here's to the guys who will still be slogging it out at the mill...

Nice win by SJU. Royals missed some chances in the first half. Story of the game was Johnnies winning the LOS. Bummer the weather didn't cooperate, kept away what could have been a great crowd.

Looking forward to Tommie-Johnnie next week!

Not sure if this is related but I saw some very large cows grazing near Space Aliens in Albertville yesterday. They appeared to be heading east but seemed to be waiting for the rest of the herd.
After the game, the king and pawn go into the same box.

You mention that the Tommies lost as if it is incidental information. Statistics don't matter if you lose. If you win, maybe voters take a look, maybe they don't. But I agree with the others. It doesn't really matter right now. There is room in this world for both St. John's and UW-W being very good.

Welcome to Tommie Johnnie week folks. May your players be healthy and your jokes be cruel but good natured

Concordia completed zero passes yesterday (on three attempts).  Has the forward pass not made it to Moorhead yet???

I'll give you that, but is is a football board.  The championships won by the U$T women's softball team are irrelevant.
