Bethel marketing is doing a nice job with videos after the games. Here's the latest one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yxn7PxvwZUY

Looking at the WIAC scores the Eau Claire loss  doesn't look as bad as originally thought. They look at the least comparable to Stout who could have beaten SJ2 and they beat UWRF similarly to Bethel. The closer these games are  examined the more I like the Tommie's chances. This game is not a forgone conclusion.

Who said it was a forgone conclusion?  I expect a very competitive game

Art: "The way the Johnnies handled the Royals this past week, I have to believe the Tommies will lose their second game of the season and be knocked out of post-season play."

AO: Takes the Johnnies in a rivalry game on the road by 10.5pts

Maybe it's me, but it seems like a forgone conclusion is the general feeling out there.

I just assumed you were referencing your "sky is falling" assessment of the Tommies from earlier in the season, which you've tempered a bit.

Well, at least hopeful now.

What are the best pre-game gathering options near Allianz?

I think Plum's is doing a free shuttle, so considering that. Otherwise looking for something that might be easily accessible via walking or light rail to the stadium.

Turnovers were the deciding factor last year. The Max Jackson scoop and score was a 14 point swing. If U$T had not turned the ball over 7 times it could have been an entirely different outcome. IMO opinion this Saturday is a toss up. Jays need to be up and play sharp for the second week in a row. U$T has a almost no margin for error to keep their playoff hopes alive. In addition it's a rivalry game on a big stage. Lots of kids that haven't played in that kind of setting and it's on grass....so many variable. Whichever team plays a clean, turnover free game walks off the field the victor.

Little Caesar's Hot-N-Ready $5.00 Pepperoni. That way you can maybe get 2 OE and change from your $20.00  8-)

Obligatory Josh Parks' knee was down on that 14 point swing comment.

Faunch hit the nail on the head. When the John's have won the rivalry in the Fasching era (3-4), they have dominated the turnover margin. 16 to 4.

The Tommies need to figure out how to get to Erdmann quickly or how to break off the well designed crossing routes that killed them last year. Erdmann had a fantastic clock inside his head last year. He very rarely was releasing balls beyond 2 seconds after the snap, knowing full well the Tommies were bringing LB's. If SJU is able to deploy the same offensive prowess as last year, it will be a long day for St. Thomas. Erdmann is to the rivalry, what Jordan Roberts was to it five years ago. The power shift flips on a single player.

I'll be looking to see if Erdman double clutches on some early quick throws.  UST will have their hands full defending him, no doubt.  I also expect SJU to take some early (big) shots downfield.

What do two quarters at the bottom of a toilet and a Tommie out at a bar have in common?

Everyone sees them but no one picks them up.

57Johnnie

A Johnnie and his wife leave a nice restaurant and see a cop writing a parking ticket. The Johnnie asks him if he couldn't give a guy a break whereupon the cop writes another one for bad tires. The wife says 'you are something else' and he writes a ticket for brake lights, sneers and walks away. About that time their limo pulls up and they drive away. The wife says to her husband 'makes your day when you see a Tommie bumper sticker on a clunker'.  :)
