Does anyone know how the grass is at Allianz Field?  I seem to recall hearing the soccer team wasn't happy with it and the sod was replaced a few weeks ago.  If so, it's maybe taken by now, but hate to see a slippery field.

Gary and some of the Johnnie coaches were planning on heading down to St. Paul this morning to check the turf out and get a lay of the land before tomorrow.  At least that was the plan when they recorded Johnnie Football Weekly yesterday.

I hope my nervousness related to the integrity of the grass is misplaced.

Haugen says it's in great shape in the pre-game interview.

He's just priming the pump of excuses for the upcoming SJ2 loss.

Anyone going to "Red Reign" tonight at the Graduate? Came up from northwestern Iowa this morning, had lunch in New Ulm, & got up here around 4:30. Should be fun! Excited that the weather is cooperating & looks like tomorrow should be beautiful!

Can I dedicate this J/T game to the ghost of Kilted Rat?
Oh, and Johnnie Red.

Win or lose-sju still gets in to playoffs. Lost and ust2 is out.
Should be a fun game tomorrow.

No. You cannot dedicate anything to these intelligent,  highly accomplished individuals.
They are making their own mark on the world.

I'm listening to the Football Weekly broadcast and have picked up a few interesting tidbits.

* Van Erp is unfortunately finished.  ACL and he's done.
* The Johnnies will be starting three sophomores at WR and the fourth wide out is a sophomore as well.  Green receiving corp but they are maturing quickly.
* The Tommie D is the most dynamic defence the Johnnies play.  They are very good at player led adjustments and are very responsive to offensive looks. (Bethel apparently ran a scheme similar to the Tommies, new for them this year)

The way he went down, that's what I feared (and assumed).  Tough break for a great kid.  :'(

I happened to be recording that play and yes it was a when planted to cut on a slant. Could have happened on a basketball court. Very unfortunate! Younger guys need to step up!

They said they would split Trost out too.  Yeah, I thought they said four sophomores so I assumed Blake must have been one as well.

Almost bedtime. Under nine hours to go!!

Matt Mohr....also a Chisago Lakes kid. Last year it was another Chisago kid named Gillach that had a big day. Today the Johnies will have 2 in the lineup and the Tommies will have one as well.
