I was going to make a snide comment about our 'inconsistent offense' but decided not to.  :D

Yeah, against the Nos. 6 and 11 teams ... more than 1,000 yards of O. What does "inconsistent" mean on Planet Frank?

To be fair, Frank did write that before today's game, not after.

hoping that someone is able to rescue the phantom rev from the Saint Paul dive bars this evening...

Knew that.  My post just put an exclamation point on the Beast of East booster's missed call on picking the Tommies to win. Other than the first half in the opener (with a green receiving corps), when was SJU inconsistent? Offense totals from Week 2 on have been from 459-617 yards. And one could point out that the Tommies' sloppy Week 4 made its offense "inconsistent" ... both later in the year and to a lesser opponent.

So maybe this is a bit early, but in all seriousness, if SJU avoids an upset and runs the table the rest of the season, do they put them in the same bracket as UWW?  I am almost thinking after todays game, SJU jumps UWW to #3.....SJU has defeated 2 top 11 teams and the WIAC is a bit down this year.  But I guess it doesn't matter, it will work itself out.  Great win today boys....I will miss this game after next year...... :-\

I'll add more thoughts when I get the chance but really impressed with this SJU team, line play, defense making plays when they needed to, and obviously Erdmann is ridiculous.
Here's hoping y'all can figure out the kicking game and make a nice run. We've got to take care of business against Bethel for even a slim shot at the postseason.

It was a great atmosphere at Allianz today. My first exposure to the place and a great venue for football in its various forms.

Too early. At this point we just need to hope that all the MIAC teams win out, the WIAC teams struggle and the Tommie-Royal game is a tough, close contest.

OZ, Other than UWW and Plattville winning out the remainder of the season, I think the rest of the WIAC will beat each other up the rest of the season so there will only be 2 left standing.  I could see U$T winning out and both them and Bethel at 8-2....although they could also loose to either or both GAC/Bethel.  But thats why they play the game....SJU just needs to take care of business and not look to far ahead....

I think the Tommies are often too much glitz and glam.  Too many Lamborghinis.

But the last two times they have hosted the Johnnie/Tommie game have really been big time.  It's been enjoyable.  And it's a shame the rivalry is coming to an end.

(I'll return to my normal, sober self after I sleep this whiskey off)

Ah, WCCO. No Norman, it wasn't a "shocker" that SJU "actually" won.

Some nice footage, though

I could see why someone working for 'CCO would say that when they are a paid U$T spokesperson.
Sing us a song, you're the piano man
Sing us a song tonight
Well, we're all in the mood for a melody
And you've got us feelin' alright.

The phrasing was a bit odd but makes more sense in the context of St Thomas jumping out to a 14-0 lead and then losing by 18. The coverage kind of skipped over most of the 38-6 run that SJU had after the early start.

I think Olaf might need to kick everybody out...well at least SJU, BU, and GAC!

Looking back, that was just a great game.  Great offenses, great defenses, Erdmann, Parks, momentum swings, mostly turnover-free, great venue...
It's been mentioned before, but I was thoroughly impressed by U$Ts broadcast.  It didn't seem like I was watching a D3 game.  Kudos
Unbelievable that SJU cannot kick a PAT with any confidence.  Also, what was with the 2-3 illegal formations?
U$T is dangerous.  I thought Dolan looked pretty good, and everyone knew how dangerous Parks would be.  He must have a nagging injury.  That's the only reason he didn't get more carries.  U$T/Bethel should be interesting.

A tradition unrivaled...
MIAC Champions: '32, '35, '36, '38, '53, '62, '63, '65, '71, '74, '75, '76, '77, '79, '82, '85, '89, '91, '93, '94, '95, '96, '98, '99, '01, '02, '03, '05, '06, '08, '09, '14, '18, '19, '21, '22, '24

Not sure if you could tell watching online but the game got really, really physical about mid third quarter. The people i was sitting near all commented that it turned into a slug-fest!!
I'm still not a fan of Dave Lee's delivery.
