Mr.MIAC

I'm at a local place enjoying a little chicken wild rice soup, fried walleye, and Grain Belt Premium before my flight back to DC. It's hard to find this stuff outside MN. I've also been extremely hungover the past two days, which means I'm probably getting a little too old for this s**t. Anyway, it was a great game played at what felt like a pretty natural venue. I think it would nice to play some games there after the move to DI. The no beer sales thing was a little weird, thus the hangover from too much pre-gaming. Our little party at the Minneapolis Club was great fun. My thanks goes out to those who joined us. There will be one more opportunity to beat the Johnnies, so looking forward to next year

Definitely going to be some spots, because there is an expectation that the game will be closer. But UST still has the chance to regain some of that in Week 11.

UST falls to 17. Bethel to 9. SJU to stay 4th.

UMHB, Mount, nor UWW have more impressive wins than SJU.

You made me do a double-take, as I have the file here on a spreadsheet!

It doesn't really matter.  It's the regional rankings which are important. So we need to hope that the Johnnies rank above UWW there and can host the West.  The biggest trouble spot for the Jays is the East yet again, pretending to have a hot squad but inevitably getting beat by a mid-tier West or North playoff squad.

We need to hope that both the Tommies and Royals are ranked. That's pretty much it.  The Tommie loss to UWEC may see us playing UHMB at home again in a quarterfinal, which would suck.

As to the Top 25, the Jays are certainly top four and I reckon Top 2 with UMU, but let them be a little underrated. It never hurts to avoid the spotlight a little.

Pretty clear right now you have Mount, UWW, SJU and UMBH brackets.
SJU will travel to play either UMBH or Mount if all get to semis.
But lots of work still ahead for all teams.

Close enough -- it was 18, 9 and 4.

Nope, I didn't quite get it.

SJU in 4th
BU to 9th
UST to 18th

As we start considering the West, UWW is in 3rd but a virtually tie with the Jays only three points ahead. UWP is in 16th. But UWO and UWL both get votes while no other MIAC teams do. CON will be a common opponent between UWW and SJU, though, so that game looms large.

And the Johnnies are only behind Whitewater by 3 votes.

UW-Stout as well, which isn't likely to be a helper for SJU.

The St. John's/UWW West rankings may well come down to which conference, if any, can have a third team stick in the regional rankings.  It's going to be particularly critical for St. John's to have St. Thomas and Bethel end the season in the regional top 10 because I think they'll be at an SOS deficit to UWW.  Have to make it up in some other critieria, and RRO results is the most obvious place.

This is not clear.  Ithaca and Salisbury are both very real possibilities to get a top seed if they make it through week 11 unblemished.  If we are going to survey a second team from each region for a possible top seed, then you'd certainly look at whoever is second among UWW and St. John's, Ithaca/Salisbury- Muhlenberg and Wheaton would have to be in that conversation also.
