Most everything you want is in a regular grocery store but sometimes theres a few things that are only at the USA store.  It's crazy expensive so we don't go often.  But candy corn, individually wrapped caramel, Twizlers, Goldfish.  Those sorts of things aren't carried in a regular store.  There's a South African grocery not far from our house as well and it's stocked with about 800 different types of beef jerky.  The South Africans are very nostalgic for dried beef, it seems.

Wait- can we give all of the candy corn to Australia?  How do we make this happen?  You're welcome to all of it.  Every last piece.

You would miss it if it disappeared, trust me.  Maple Syrup as well, obviously, although we do our own personal import business (a couple jugs a year to keep us and in friends supplied with the best product) of Fideldy's world champion syrup.  These folks are only six or seven miles from my folk's place so you know it's good, pure northern Minnesota sap making that sweet nectar.

Way back when I was in school the monks made some very good maple syrup. Somebody please tell me they still do! Fideldy looks very good.

Candy corn is garbage.  :-X

Familiarity breeds contempt, I reckon.  I went 15 years without a candy corn and let watched my kids hype up when they bit into their first sugary kernel bomb and I knew I had created a new generation of addicts.  It is funny, though, watching the two oldest girls turn up their lip every year as they eat just one, hate it and feel guilty.

Top 25 guesses?  I say all the MIAC teams stay where they are but UHMB falls to second.  Maybe third but likely second.

Worse than candy corn?

Circus peanuts!  :)

Ha!  I like those, too!  Ok, the evidence is undeniable. I have horrible tastes when it comes to candy. Either that or I was raised on a diet of sawdust and fish oil so it all seems wonderful to me.

My kids love candy corn, and I shudder when I buy some for them.

Fruit cake?  Big thumbs up from me.
Absolutely! My mother made it from scratch the day after Thanksgiving, wrapped it in cheesecloth and stored  it in our summer kitchen/pantry. Once a week until Christmas it was my job to pour brandy on some and wine on others. I might have made sure neither was spoiled.  :)
Most store bought is bad but Mrs. orders some that is pretty good.

Thanks. Times change but I'm glad that didn't. Back then everybody except a few day hops ate all our meal in the Refectory family style. Almost everything was raised at the Monastery. Freshmen especially gained some avoirdupois.  :)
